Summary and future work
• Preliminary calculation and simulations are carried out for pressure vessel of TPC
• At 40 mm shell thickness; Von mises stress and displacement is evaluated by simulations
• With out ribs, the maximum Von mises stress on vessel is about 100 MPa.
• With three ribs, Von mises stress on vessel reduces to about 85 Mpa
• Above level of Von Mises stress are lower than the Yield strength of the designated Aluminum, i.e. 215 MPa
