    This is a continuous weighing

    pressurized mill.

    Its airtight design does not allow any air to leak out.The cylindrical inlet chute allows the maximum constantflow of coal from the coal storage area----indispensablein securing maximum efficiency.

    2.User-friendly controller CFC-300The CFC-300 makes zero and span ad-justments digitally, without bothersomeanalogue adjustments. The adjusted val-ues are calculated automatically andstored in memory by pressing a key.The CFC-300 incorporates Programma-ble Logic Calculator functions.

    A dust-proof, explosion-proof load cell is

    incorporated as the weighing sensor.

    3.A specially designed conveyor belt & clean- out conveyor

    The conveyor belt is equipped with corrugated lugs (60mm H) to prevent coal from spilling over the sides of thebelt. The design and materials used in the conveyor beltleave no gaps.The clean-out conveyor underneath collects any spilledcoal to prevent accumulation and eliminate a possibilityof natural flashing.

    The dust-proof, explosion-proof loadcell yields a linearity of +/- 0.05%.The load cell supports the weighingcarrier rollers directly, retaininghighly accurate weight readings.

    The conveyor belt

    The conveyor belt is equipped withcorrugated lugs which spread whenthe belt passes over rollers, toprevent coal from spilling over thesides of the belt.

    The head roller is covered withrubber lagging, which helps preventthe accumulation of coal on thesurface of the roller, and keeps theconveyor belt from skiddingsideways.

    External belt cle anerThis cleaner scrapes coal off the topsurface of the conveyor belt.The stainless steel blade is keptpressed against the surface of thebelt by a counterweight.

    Clean-out conveyorThe clean-out conveyor is installedin the bottom of the chamber, rightunder the conveyor belt. It sweepsany spilled coal or dust into the mill,to prevent an accumulation of spil-led coal.

    Inspection light (2 points)Inspection lights are installed tomake it easy to inspect the inside ofthe chamber through the inspectionwindows.

    Carrier rollerarrier rollers are installed to re-ce conveyor belt friction, causedthe head pressure of the coal.

    Air sealThe air seal keeps the coal dustfrom blowing back into the coalfeeder.

    Side rollers (4 points)Side rollers are installed at 2 pointson either side of the return belt, toprevent undesirable belt skidding.When in contact with the belt, theyrotate smoothly.

    Poking hole and aspirated a irA poking hole is provided in thechamber to allow operators to breakclogging in the outlet shute with astick through it. When the hole isopen, aspirated air will blow to pre-vent the coal dust from being blownout.

    Internal belt cleaner & tail rollerThe cleaner scrapes any coal offthe underside of the conveyor belt.The tail roller is covered with a rub-ber lining to prevent an accumula-tion of coal.

    Inspection door & windows (5 points)n inspection door and 5 windowse installed to make service andaintenance easy.

    Detecting an insufficient amount of

    coal being fedClogging in the inlet mouth is easilydetected by the stainless steel pad-dle switch, which transmits a paddlesignal to indicate that an insufficientamount of coal is being fed.

    Detecting clogging in the outletClogging in the outlet mouth is easi-ly detected by a paddle switchwhich is activated when pushed upby the coal overflowing the mouth ofthe outlet.

    The control panelAll the instruments used to control the coal feeder

    are installed in the control panel---each coal feeder

    has its own panel (standard).

    The control panel houses the CFC-300 controller,

    motor controller, etc.

    Both an indoor and outdoor type are available,

    depending on the installation location.

    The interface to the upstream control room is

    made from the control panel.

    Principle of operationThe coal in the coal bunker is fed on the conveyor belt (weigh-

    ing belt) inside the pressure-resistant chamber, through the

    coal gate and the downspout.

    The chamber inlet chute is cylindrically-shaped to maximize

    loading efficiency.

    The load cell installed beneath the conveyor belt measures the

    amount of coal discharged from the conveyor belt into the mill

    as a load factor (kg/m) when it passes over the weighing sec-

    tion. The belt speed (m/min.) is detected by the pulse genera-

    tor attached to the driving unit.

    These two signals are multiplied in the control panel to gener-

    ate an instantaneous feed rate signal (kg/m x m/min. =

    kg/min.). The signal is compared with the feed rate setting, PI

    adjusted, and used as a motor control signal to control the va-

    riable speed motor in order to achieve the desired feed rate.

    The feed rate setting supplied from the central control room al-lows automatic remote control.

    1. User-friendly operationThe CFC-300 does not require any analogue adjust-

    ments. The zero and span settings can be adjusted

    digitally. The adjusted values are calculated auto-

    matically and can be stored in memory just by

    pressing a key.

    2. Built-in Programmable Logic CalculatorA built-in Programmable Logic Calculator is incorpo-

    rated in CFC-300 as a standard feature.

    All of the relay circuits and the PLC ---normally re-quired for controlling the clean-out conveyor, the

    sampling device, and local control box--- have been

    eliminated. The parameter settings for system con-

    trol can be changed easily in the CFC-300.

    3. Self-diagnosisSelf-diagnosis functions have been incorporated to

    detect load cell errors, CPU errors, and other prob-

    lems.

    4. InterfaceRS232C and RS422 ports are incorporated as stan-

    dard. This allows setting the feed rate from an up-

    stream PC, as well as collecting the weighing re-

    sults.

    5. Error history memoryThe time and duration of errors are recorded in a

    history log and can be displayed or reviewed.

    This will help operators to figure out what caused

    the errors.

    6. Volumetric operation switchoverThe load cells and speed detectors are always

    monitored.

    The mode is automatically switched over to volumet-

    ric operation, if and when an error occurs.

    The GM-BSC11 was first developedin 1980.This model was designed to allow theentire weighing conveyor to beremoved easily from the chamber, forsimplified maintenance.

    We remain ready to meet diverse requirements by manufacturing the following two

    models which were developed in the 1980s.

    This model was designed to allow theweighing belt, the head & tail rollers,and the carrier rollers to be removedthrough the windows built in bothsides of the chamber, allowing easiermaintenance in a limited floor space.The current model, the GM-BSC22,was based on this earlier model.
