The Dyna-Form Mercury Static Air mattress is a “High / Very High Risk” replacement system, combining the benefits of effective air displacement technology with the best of modern foams for excellent pressure reduction. With patient compliance enhanced through the high levels of comfort offered and requiring no powered pump the system is ideal in community and palliative care settings whilst the clinical benefits and ease of use make it equally suitable in the acute ward environment. Incorporating 14 air and foam filled cells, a patented valve system allows Reactive Air Zone (RAZ™) technology air to displace and adjust to the patient’s body weight and movement. A higher maximum weight capacity, up to 40 stone/ 254kg, allows the product to meet the modern challenges of those heavier clients. All component parts are interchangeable and replaceable, maximising product life, reducing environmental impact and offering a very cost effective solution to pressure care management. The outer Dartex™ vapour permeable, multi way stretch fabric cover incorporates high frequency welded seams and deep flap zip protection conforming to the strictest infection control policies.

The Dyna-Form Mercury Fire Evacuation mattress has been designed to ensure that in the unfortunate event of a fire occurring within your hospital, each and every patient has an evacuation system within easy reach. With an ever growing and aging population it is becoming increasingly difficult to know just how many bed bound patients there are within the hospital at any one time, and therefore just as impossible to know that there are enough fire evacuation systems available. Designed in conjunction with Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, together with an NHS multi-disciplinary team of fire officers, Tissue Viability, Infection Control and Manual handling specialists, the Dyna-Form Mercury Fire Evacuation mattress utilises all the key benefits of the Dyna-Form Mercury mattress together with the addition of a highly effective Fire Evacuation system.

Direct Healthcare Services, working in partnership with healthcare professionals and together with polyurethene coating specialists, Dartec Coatings Ltd™ have utilised our vast collective experience to develop the very latest, high durability Dyna-Form Pro-Formance™ Fabric. After an extended research and trial period, we are delighted to announce the launch of our latest product, which is designed with primary pressure area care delivery, coupled with extensive longevity at the very forefront of the product. The Dyna-Form Pro-Formance™ Fabric uses an innovative textile combined with a higher modulus matt surface polyurethane coating. This unique combination reduces polyurethane swell when exposed to moisture, which in turn further reduces surface friction, aids patient transfer and reduces the likelihood of snagging or surface damage. The product comprises three layers of the highest quality polyurethane laminated to a robust, stretch engineered textile base. Dyna-Form Pro-Formance™ has undergone extensive evaluation in both laboratory and high turnover acute ward environments. As wound management is at the height of our agenda, we have ensured crucial levels of moisture vapour permeability at the patient interface, whilst maintaining exceptional polyurethane abrasion performance.

Suitable for patients considered to be at “High Risk” of pressure ulcer development, Dyna-Flex gives nursing security without the patient challenging the issue of comfort. Complete with a well designed cover and non-slip base, this product is ideal for use in all hospital, nursing or homecare environments.

The Dyna-Pad Leg Trough range provides total positional care, with or without full ankle support, subject to product selection as below. The unique Heel Free trough immobilises the full leg from thigh to ankle ensuring maximum comfort, with a removed heel section for absolute pressure relief in an increasingly vulnerable area. Complete with a high frequency welded cover (and inspection zip for audit purposes) reduced shear and friction forces are achieved, whilst maintaining strict infection control standards.

The Dyna-Pad Wedge provides knee support without the aid of an electric profiling bed. The foam wedge prevents the patient from slipping down the bed, whilst reducing shear & friction forces on the ankles and vulnerable heel area, therefore providing improved pressure re-distribution. Complete with an inspection zip for audit purposes, the multi-stretch, vapour permeable Pu cover also reduces shear and friction forces.

our “pre planning” visits allow our Audit Managers to meet the key personnel involved within the auditing process. We will then evaluate all of the sites involved within the audit (often multiple hospitals or nursing home groups) including infection control preventative measures whilst on site, access and security points to name but a few key areas.Equipment auditing is a demanding job requiring a vast amount of planning and administration time required on completion. We offer a service that incorporates all of this and more without you having to give it a second thought. Simply give us a call and we can arrange for our Audit or local Business Development Manager to discuss our range of services. In most instances, Direct Healthcare offers this service at a vastly reduced rate to new customers. Alternatively, should customers decide to purchase any required products on completion from our range of specialist equipment, then this service is provided absolutely FREE.
our teams are on standby to discuss your requirements right now. We look forward to hearing how Direct Healthcare can “deliver the promise” for you. With raised infection control awareness and concerns over patient safety, it®s crucial to offer peace of mind to all management and nursing staff, in order to provide a safe standard of equipment used to support the whole caring function.Equipment audits, particularly those involving patients still within the immediate vicinity of the products requiring full evaluation, need to be treated with sensitivity. There has to be an area of discretion when identifying potentially “failed or faulty” equipment within close proximity of patients under care. our teams are professionally trained to deal with this and apply a verbal coding system when conducting the audit process. This allows only the trained staff (and of course NHS staff or others briefed in our techniques) to be aware of the exact status of equipment.
1 Professional audit teams with a vast amount of experience
2 Trained Telesales & Marketing teams able to convert audit data into impressive presentation documents
3 Strict inspection criteria on all types of mattress to ensure durability
4 “Mount Vernon” fist test – evaluates potential patient bottoming or defective foam at point of audit
5 Evaluating capability of all types of welded mattress and cushion covers
6 Mattress covers may look perfectly fine from the outside, but upon closer inspection of the substrate, mattresses may be a potential secondary infection hazard
7 Hydrostatic head tests examine the pressures in which mattress fabrics may leak, both prior to manufacture and indeed post audit
Direct Healthcare Services (DHS) offer a wealth of experience in the manufacturing and supply of specialist pressure area care products. As a result of the Clinical & Design teams’ knowledge and expertise, we have the required skill levels and understanding to offer a quality equipment audit function. With specific experience in auditing pressure care foam mattresses within large NHS Trusts, the Audit Teams within DHS have conducted professional evaluations on tens of thousands of pieces of equipment.
