1 Press Release 2012 Jadeworld Carnival Kenny Wong and Shirley Yeung celebrated the full moon and raised fund for charity in Sydney (Hong Kong – 2012/09/27) One of the annual international events organized by TVBA, “ Jadeworld Carnival 2012” was held successfully in Carss Bush Park in Sydney on 22 nd September. This year, TVBA had invited a numerous of red-hot artistes and hosts to deliver splendid performances on stage, celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and spend a harmonious weekend with the Australian audience. They were further invited to attend the “ TVBA All Stars Charity Night” and raise fund for the elderly home in Australia on 23 rd September. Two red-hot artistes from TVB, Kenny Wong and Shirley Yeung, arrived at Sydney on 21 st September. By participating in a series of publicity events, which included the press conference, Jadeworld Carnival, Charity Dinner and the autograph session, they had the chance to interact with the Australian audience and promote TVB’s future production. On 22 nd Sep, once they had participated in the interview session, they immediately attended in the “Jadeworld Carnival 2012”. In fine weather, the place was crowded with exciting audience. Participants queued up for game booths and tried to grab a good seat to watch the performance of the stars. This time, the carnival invited stars included Kenny Wong and Shirley Yeung from TVB, Ding Bao Hua from Dragon Television, and Kevin Kuo from TVBS. Even Mayor of Kogarah, Mr. Nickolas Varvaris, Mr. Victor Dominello of both the Minister for Citizenship and Communities and the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, and Ms Carmel Tebbutt, Shadow Minster for Education paid a visit to the carnival and enjoy the harmonious atmosphere there. The artistes performed on stage with their every effort. Apart from singing, they delivered presents and played games with the audience. Kenny Wong and Shirley Yeung’s performances further heated up the atmosphere of the carnival. Shirley Yeung performed the songs “Oh Yeah” and “Amazing Grace”. Audience in the event was deeply immersed in her beautiful singing. Kenny Wong performed the song from When Heaven Burns and “I hate myself for loving you”. When their performances were over, they further invited audience to play games. Seeing the two teams competed with each other fiercely, the fans cheered for their beloved artistes. Once the game session finished, the carnival was nearly drawn to a close. All the artistes deliver souvenirs to the participants. They were overjoyed with the presents they had received. On the next day, TVBA held the autograph session for the TVB artistes in Sussex Centre. Kenny Wong and Shirley Yeung had the chance to have face-to-face interaction with the Australian audience. In the evening, all the artistes were invited to attend the “TVBA All Stars Charity Night”, which was to raise fund for the Indo-Chinese Elderly Hostel. As to delight the fundraising event, all the artistes deliver performances to the guests and donated their beloved possession for charity purpose. Kenny Wong, Shirley Yeung had successfully raised a large sum of money for the charity dinner . The three-day promotion has finally drawn to a meaningful close with success of both the Jadeworld Carnival and the charity dinner.
