1. What are hot trends that you can associate yourself to?
2. Out of the things that you’re doing, what is it that’s cool, different, innovative?
3. Have you every been previously covered by the press? If yes, feel free to add that
to your pitch.
4. Think of what you have in common with the person you’re reaching out to. I.e.
Same ideas, common friends, similar work or education, etc.
5. Are you a regular reader or follower of that person? Feel free to add that into your
pitch.
6. Can you think of any quotes, sayings, mentions that people have said about you?
7. Refer to any content that could be useful to learn more about you. I.e. videos, press
release page, website: about page, Twitter or Facebook page
8. Why would the readers be interested to learn about you?
9. Think of a potential headline that journalists could write about you
