IN FEBRUARY, PREMIèRE VISION PARIS PLAYS ON SOLIDITY, STRENGHTENING THE TRANSVERSALITY OF ITS ACTIVITY SECTORS TO SERVE THE GLOBAL CREATIVE-FASHION INDUSTRY, IN A CONTINUINGLY UNSTABLE ECONOMIC CONTExT

Inter-show synergies, a reorganisation of part of the offer, new transversal spaces, renewed fashion information tools, sharing and transfers of know-how.... Ever since becoming the sole organiser of Première Vision Paris, Première Vision has had a clear goal: to promote and coordinate its various activity sectors in all their diversity, with an eye to helping them complement each other's activities, all within the context of a single, harmonious, more effective and more readable event.

These strategic changes and restructurings began in February 2015, and are being strengthened and furthered at this new edition.

Through these dynamic changes, Première Vision Paris is able to meet the expectations of increasingly demanding international markets, and the needs of a growingly transversal creative fashion industry.

In spite of a complex and unstable economic and political context, a dynamic edition rich in inspirations and exchanges is set to take place from 16 - 18 February at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte.

Faced with still weak global apparel consumption, in both historic markets and new consumer countries also affected by a slowdown, Première Vision Paris continues to show all its strength, and the solidity of its concept, thanks its affirmed values of selectivity, creativity, quality and innovation.

Première Vision Paris in February 2016: economic context and environment

OUTLOOk ON THE WORLD'S ECONOMY:

CONSUMER TExTILES AND CLOTHING: A FURTHER DECLINE IN FRANCE IN 2015 (8TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR OF DECLINE)

2015 began slowly since, in the first half of the year, textile-clothing consumption remained stable compared to the first semester of 2014. An improvement was observed during the second half of the year, particularly in August, September and October. Thus, for the first ten months of 2015, textile-clothing consumption rose by 1% in value compared to the same period in 2014.

Subsequently, the attacks of 13 November altered the playing field, and business activity that month registered a sharp decline compared to November 2014 (-7.7% in value terms). Year-end festivities failed to reverse the trend - especially as the mild December weather limited clothing buys - eliminating any hope of a consumer recovery in 2015.

Overall, for the full 2015 year, textile-apparel consumption should show a slight decline (-0.4%) over 2014.

— Overview :

In 2015, global growth slowed somewhat to +3.1% (versus 3.4% in 2014). In 2016, it is expected to reach +3.4%.

Growth in emerging countries is slowing (+4% in 2015). Some countries, such as Brazil and Russia are experiencing significant difficulties, while the slowdown in the Chinese economy is weighing on global growth.

According to COE-REXECODE, the gap in growth between OECD countries and emerging countries is the lowest observed for 15 years.

The U.S. economy, driven by household consumption and private investment, posted a growth of 2.5% in 2015, considerably stronger than that in the Eurozone (only +1.5%).

— Focus on France:

After having stagnated in 2014 (+ 0.2%), French GDP increased by 1.1% in 2015. Investment growth, after witnessing setbacks in 2014 and 2015, should benefit from a slightly positive trend in 2016.

In addition, some supporting factors will continue be present in 2016: the weakness of the euro and the price of oil, and low interest rates.

In 2016, French GDP should increase by 1.3%.

Source: IFM distributors panel.>> This assessment concerning the global macroeconomic situation was prepared by the economic observatory

of the IFM (French Institute of Fashion) in the context of the Chair dedicated to 'the economy of the creative materials for fashion.' The chair was launched in January 2016 between that organisation and Première Vision (see the press release in the annex)

THE NEW PREMIèRE VISION PARIS CAMPAIGN PAYS HOMAGE TO CREATIVE TALENT IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY United under the hashtag #wearepremierevision, created to join together the Première Vision community, these campaigns highlight those behind the fashions of today and tomorrow, put-ting people, fashion and the values of inspiration and creativity at the heart of Première Vision.

Last September, a first joint advertising campaign for all 6 shows at Première Vision Paris - its most international and integrated event - featured young design talent by spotlighting fashion students.

The new campaign created for the next edition - from 16 to 18 February 2016 - is a loud and clear statement of the proximity of Première Vision to the world of creativity. A choir-like portrait pays homage to the designers and creatives in the upstream fashion sector, under the banner "THEY INSPIRE FASHION."

Men and women who - at mills, tanners, furriers, accessory manufacturers, knitters and textile design studios - imagine, create and invent the original collections and innovative products that give birth to the magic of fashion.

Last September Première Vision brought the following creatives into the spotlight, for a unique photo:Riccardo Bruni Textile Designer / Lyria (Première Vision Fabrics)

Federica Martini Masoni Style Office Chief / Masoni Industria Conciaria (Première Vision Leather)

Takao Ozaki Creative Director / A-Girl’s (Première Vision Fabrics)

Actively committed to supporting textile creativity, particularly young design talents, Première Vision has been collaborating since 2011 with the famous Hyères International Festival of Fashion and Photography. In 2013, the organiser strengthened this partnership and reaffirmed its commitment to the Festival by sponsoring the Hyères Grand Jury Prize, accompanied by a 15,000 euro grant and renamed the Première Vision Grand Jury Prize.

But Première Vision's involvement is not limited to sponsoring the Grand Prize. In a show of true support to creativity, Première Vision, this year like every year, will support the 10 finalists in the process of designing and creating the collections they will be showing next 21 to 25 April at the Villa Noailles.

This 16, 17 and 18 February, in advance of the 31st Hyères Festival, the 10 young designers will be welcomed at Première Vision Paris. They will be welcomed by a selection of exhibitors at Première Vision Fabrics (fabrics and flatbed knits), Première Vision Accessories (trimmings and components for fashion and design), Première Vision Yarns (yarns and fibres) and Première Vision Manufacturing (fashion manufacturing).

This is a great opportunity for these young fashion designers. Put in direct contact with exhibitors who have volunteered their participation, they receive comprehensive assistance, a privileged access to products and services from the world's best companies to help create their collections, from yarns to fabrics, trimmings and manufacturers.

As part of the company's broad commitment, each season Première Vision Paris also welcomes former Festival winners, who are given a free badge and access to all the Paris shows for the two years following their win. They may also attend the fashion seminars at the Première Vision Paris shows. And finally,

should they wish, they can also take advantage of the expertise of the Première Vision teams, who are ready to advise them outside of the show periods.

The February show is also home to numerous events that respectively support and showcase creativity and those working in the creative field.

Among these events:

ENSAD x LEATHER ACCESSORY PRIZE 2016

To coincide with the exhibit of footwear and leathergoods projects prepared by students in their final year of study at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs at Première Vision Leather, the leather and fur show, a prestigious jury presided over by Michel Perry will award the prize for best product during a ceremony in the Gold Premium Lounge in hall 3 (Tuesday 16 February at 1 pm). A public prize will also be awarded following a vote by Première Vision's Facebook fans, while the creations themselves will be on display under the Mezzanine, in the entry to Hall 3, throughout the show.

comON CREATIVITY SHARING : "LA BOUM" – Hall 5 North, aisle G

When the Como industry calls on young designers from Italian high schools and design schools to focus on innovation, the result can only be spectacular.

The comON Creativity Sharing project is just that: bringing together young talents with the Italian textile industry. Clothing, hats, one of a kind pieces ... With a theme of childhood and adolescence, in a "labyrinth" display playing on structure and volume, Première Vision Fabrics presents a selection of the best projects proposed by the students to mark the latest edition of comON.

IFM ExHIBITION

At Première Vision Leather, at the entrance to hall 3, some 18 students from the IFM (French Fashion Institute) present their creative and original final-study works.

ExHIBIT: L’ECLAIREUR SHIGOTO PROJECT x PREMIERE VISION

Première Vision partners with the famous Parisian fashion store l’Eclaireur in an exclusive exhibi-tion highlighting the creative links between the upstream side of the fashion industry and the final product. Some 16 fashion designers were invited by l’Eclaireur to update a classic item from their men's collection, the Shigoto jacket, using creative materials from Première Vision Paris exhibi-tors. These unique items will be exhibited in the midst of Hall 6, in a space and lounge especially designed by L'Eclaireur at Première Vision Manufacturing.

ACCESSOLOGY

Technology serving accessories. It can magnify them, push back their limits, make them more functional or even help them become one with the product. More and more, consumers want accessories that aren't just...accessories. Products tht are useful but also aesthetic, products that are innovative but which can be worn everyday. This is the approach featured at the Accessology area, showcasing technological and innovative approaches developed for accessories / leathergoods - footwear-jewellery. Gilles Lasbordes, General manager of Première Vision (© Stéphane Kossmann)

"The upcoming Première Vision Paris shows are in line with a positive trend, while the economic and political environment remains uncertain. We see a diversified offer from our exhibitors, and a real desire to present more varied and more richly creative collections.

Our visitors can rest assured that once again this season, the shows will feature a wealth of creativity, high-quality products, new developments and inspiration. Maison d'Exceptions is back, with

27 artisans presenting exceptional expertise for luxury houses. And of course, Première Vision Paris will meet the needs of all markets: clothing, leather goods, footwear, fashion jewellery.

The total number of exhibitors is down slightly, which reflects the market, but the dynamics of the offer remain strong. This edition we welcome 145 new exhibiting companies, versus 128 in February 2015. The show covers the same exhibition space as last year. Both indicators show the renewed confidence of our exhibitors in the Première Vision Paris event.

From an economic standpoint, the current climate is reflected in a number of changes taking place in the industry sectors. We are seeing activities being grouped within companies, mergers and buyouts, but also shutdowns and repositionings ... These developments have had a

significant impact on some of our exhibitors, in particular the smallest and therefore most fragile players.

Since Première Vision became the sole organiser of the 6 shows in 2014, our strategic choices focused on improving synergies and interactions between the different events. This has led to adjustments in the offer, greater selectivity, moving some exhibitors closer together and changing the locations of others, as well as changes in our counting procedures, affecting the total number of exhibiting companies. This step has now been completed, and Première Vision Paris is ready to help its exhibitors further their business in the world's international fashion markets."

THE OUTLOOk FROM GILLES LASBORDES, GENERAL MANAGER OF PREMIèRE VISION

1 725 exhibitors - spinners, weavers, accessory makers, design studios, tanners and furriers, and garment manufacturers - are presenting their latest creative developments to the many buyers, stylists and fashion and accessory brand designers who come each season to Première Vision Paris to find inspiration and discover innovative collections that will make a difference to their collections.

While, following a record 2015 year, the global number of exhibitors is showing a slight 4% de-cline - down from 1,793 exhibitors in February 2015 - this figure remains nonetheless quite high, and is exceptional for the industry as a whole. Among the offers proposed at the various interna-tional shows in the upstream sector, the Première Vision Paris event is unquestionably the most comprehensive, the most international and the highest in quality.

PREMIèRE VISION YARNS, LE SALON INTERNATIONAL DES FILS & FIBRESAt the heart of textile innovation and at the start of the creative process, Première Vision Yarns (formerly Expofil) is an essential, strategic event for weavers and knitters looking for distinction, originality and creative and technological new products for their future collections.

For even before matters of shape and cut, colour and materials, fabrics and accessories come into play, the differentiation and diversification of a collection begins with fibre production and yarn design.

For its February edition, the international show of yarns and fibres will be presenting in Hall 5 north the latest developments for autumn winter 2017-18 from 36 exhibitors.

Among them are 4 companies who are joining or returning to Première Vision Yarns. One of them back after several seasons away.

A large and varied offer in terms of yarns and fibres, targeting wovens and circular knits, proposed by an exclusive and international selection of exhibitors: spinners of wool, silk, cotton, synthetic and artificial fibres; throwster/ texturizers; as well as fibre producers, and promotional organisations.

Coming from all corners of the globe - some 15 countries are represented at the show - exhibitors represent the most important countries in terms of innovation and creativity. Among the areas launched last September, UPPER JEANSWEAR is one of the most representative of the inter-show synergies and the restructuring by product type undertaken by Première Vision.

UPPER JEANSWEAR aims to expand the Première Vision Paris jeanswear offer thanks to a multi-business-activity offer adapted to the needs of fashion brands.

Located in the North of Hall 6 at the intersection of Première Vision Fabrics and Première Vision Manufacturing, this area provides a cross-section of the know-hows presented at both shows.

For spring summer 17, UPPER JEANSWEAR presents know-hows from 28 exhibiting companies - 21 weavers specialising in denim at Première Vision Fabrics, along with 7 garment manufacturers and laundries from Première Vision Manufacturing.

They offer solutions to fashion brands that want to integrate jeans or over-dyed items into their collections.

UPPER JEANSWEAR primarily targets ready-to-wear brands, with a mostly "fashion" denim offer.

In this sense, it is a space that complements the Denim Première Vision show (18 & 19 May 2016 in Barcelona), which is directly addressed to pure players and jeanswear brands with a larger and more authentic denim offer.

Ever since its launch in September 2011, MAISON D'ExCEPTIONS has slowly but surely established itself as the annual showcase of exceptional savoir-faire and techniques for premium fashion brands, pertinently addressing the current needs of international luxury players.

For its 5th edition, this exclusive event - which already opened its doors in prior years to include accessories and leather - is once again broadening its offer. The ateliers represent an international diversity of exceptional techniques: semi-automatic and artisanal weaving, ultra high-definition jacquards, feather working, leather mosaics, sheathing and caning leather, corsetry and needlework, artisanal embroidery...

Accessible by invitation only, MAISON D'EXCEPTIONS - located in the heart of Hall 6 at Première Vision Fabrics - is proposing a selection from 27 ateliers and artists. Coming from 9 countries, they all exhibit their mastery of contemporary, vernacular and ancestral techniques. These various ateliers, with their rare and cutting-edge know-hows, are more than ever focused on innovation in order to propose unique or made to measure, creative and exclusive creations.

In February, MAISON D'EXCEPTIONS welcomes the know-how of 13 new houses. Coming from France, Japan, the U.K., as well as Sweden, the Netherlands and Brazil - these last 3 being new countries represented this year - they offer a unique diversity of activity sectors and techniques.

An invitation to exceptional creativityThe goal of MAISON D'ExCEPTIONS? To give international visibility and a chance to develop business opportunities to ateliers specialised in textile, accessory and leather production and manufacturing techniques that are traditional (artisanal techniques), vernacular (popular), or innovative (advanced technology), for high-end and luxury fashion brands and designers looking for unique pieces, special know-hows or limited series. All in an original and evolving display created by the Italian collective Segno Italiano (www.segnoitaliano.it).

Among the exclusive products found at MAISON D’EXCEPTIONS, discover those of the Studio Andreea Mandrescu: using a hybrid technique, this studio produces custom relief appliqués which can be encrusted with pearls, velvet or any number of other ornamentations. The variety of designs and materials provides unending possibilities

Also discover the quasi-artisanal, quasi-botanical know-how of the Carina Sohl Atelier, direct from Sweden. Inspired by the treasures of nature, Carina Sohl has developed a new stamping technique combining leather and vegetation, resulting in unique creations.

Next, allow yourself to be seduced by the Atelier Lorriaux, a laboratory focused on the ennobling of specialty

textiles, which is equally experimental in research and production. It incorporates new technologies with manual know-how to constantly push the limits of creativity to serve the demands of couture and luxury ready-to-wear houses.

PREMIèRE VISION LEATHER THE INTERNATIONAL SHOW OF LEATHER AND FUR ExPERTSIn February, Première Vision Leather (formerly Cuir à Paris) affirms more than ever its position as the high-quality and luxury leather and fur show. This is a can't-miss international appointment for fashion, leathergoods and footwear brands looking for inspiration and exclusive collections

For its next edition, Première Vision Leather continues to evolve. Taking advantage of the synergies with the other five shows of Première Vision Paris, it will once again this season welcome the industry's leading players for three days of fruitful discussions and exchange.

Tanners, skinners, manufacturers of textiles for accessories, some 266 companies who number among the sector's leaders are presenting their latest developments for spring summer 17 to the major names in luxury and fashion..

Since becoming part of Première Vision in 2014, Première Vision Leather has made the strategic choice to focus on a high-end, luxury offer. Thanks to its new Selection Committee, it is now a more selective and high-quality fair, and is held in hall 3 of the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte.

With its rich, comprehensive proposals, the show offer meets the needs of all markets, from leather goods to clothing leather and shoes. Leather markets have however seen a slowdown of their growth after years of strong development.

The downward trend in the price of skins, like the shifts observed in the industry - takeovers, concentrations, even bankruptcy... - have put pressure on a segment of the leather trades, suffering from the fragile economic climate.

These problems particularly affect small structures, while leaders tend to invest more and to accelerate their development. Such phenomena are certainly felt at Première Vision Leather exhibitors but they do not in any way impact the value and diversity of the proposed collections, adapted for all leather and fur markets.

Thus this season, 14 tanners will be joining the show for the first time. Among them, 2 companies are returning after several seasons of absence, attesting to the show's appeal and effectiveness.

Primarily international (81%), exhibitors come from 24 different countries.

Particularly noteworthy is the arrival for the first time of collections from Japan, with traditional know-hows and ultra creative products that lend a real added-value to the show's offer overall, including spectacularly printed and hand-made pieces.

PREMIèRE VISION DESIGNS THE INTERNATIONAL SHOW FOR TExTILE DESIGNS AND CREATIONFor February, Première Vision Designs (formerly Indigo) welcomes some 220 textile designers and studios presenting their latest spring summer 17 collections - prints, embroideries, jacquards, mixes of textile technologies and placed motifs. This large and diversified offer heralds a dynamic, very active and richly creative edition.

Faced with the growing demands of international markets, and to meet the ever-faster pace of collection renewals, brands rely increasingly on differentiation. And what better way to update their offer than by investing in textile designs, especially the infinitely rich offer from these studios?

It’s the support from markets with a high demand for innovative prints and creativity that reveals the full appeal of Première Vision Designs.

This appeal is also confirmed on an international level. For Première Vision Designs welcomes, as it does each season, a true «melting pot» of exhibitors from many different cultures.

Mainly European (84%) - coming principally from the United Kingdom (40%), France (18%), Italy (12%) and Germany (3%) - there are also many design studios and designers coming from the U.S. (11% of participants), a well-known producer and also a strong consumer of textile designs.

Shoe Focus, a forum dedicated to footwear at the heart of Première Vision Accessories:

To skilfully guide footwear brands and buyers, the Shoe Focus forum, launched last September, links the specific offer of technical components for footwear at Première Vision Accessories (welts, soles, heels, ornaments...) to that of Première Vision Leather (leathers, textiles for footwear...).

Developed jointly by the fashion teams of the two shows, with the season's theme "Speed Up!" (more information in the dedicated fashion press release), this transversal fashion information area mixes components and materials, and reveals the shoe trends for spring summer 17 via:

— An offer of technical components - soles, heels, reinforcements, welts…- proposed by a selection of specialised, international exhibitors.

— Decorative accessories at Première Vision Accessories: laces, ornament, uppers, eyelets.

— Materials directly from exhibitors at Première Vision Leather : leather, textiles for accessories...

Première Vision Accessories is above all an international show, bringing together know-hows from exhibitors from 22 different countries. Mainly European (89%) - led by Italy (57%), France (15%), Spain (7%) and Germany (4%) - companies also come from Turkey (4% of participants), and Asia (13% of exhibitors) - Japan, South Korea, India and Hong Kong.

PREMIèRE VISION MANUFACTURING THE SHOW OF FASHION MANUFACTURING SPECIALISTSFor this new edition, Première Vision Manufacturing (formerly ZOOM) has an offer of techniques and know-how from 137 exhibitors from 14 countries. They are proposing a range of manufacturing, supply chain and service solutions for fashion, lingerie, sports and accessories brands, and represent a proximity sourcing that allows them to be highly responsive and fully in control of manufacturing quality.

Since last September, the show will also feature, along with woven specialists, the 23 knitters at the platform dedicated to creative flatbed knits, knitwear Solutions, previously counted as part of Première Vision Fabrics. This reorganisation is a direct result of the development of inter-show synergies and a restructured offer, both sought by Première Vision to improve the shows' coherency and efficiency.

The show also integrates 7 fashion manufacturers specialised in denim in the new area dedicated to jeanswear at Première Vision Fabrics, UPPER JEANSWEAR. They remain exhibitors at Première Vision Manufacturing.

Among the exhibiting companies, 31 (including 3 knitters at knitwear Solutions) are joining the show for the first time - and 3 of these companies are back after several editions away.
