HOW DO MY FRIEND HUGGLES™ DOLLS TEACH ?

Each doll teaches a specific character value. Beautiful large satin ribbons on the back of every My Friend Huggles

Doll explain how a child can embrace that specific character value.

The educational journey continues on My Friend Huggles’ children’s website where parents and children can discover

a series of character challenges and downloadable activities. Each character challenge supports one of the dolls

and their specific value. Children are encouraged to complete the character challenges and recieve a free down-

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT I hope that my commitment and determination in develop-

ing socially conscience products will have a great effect

on improving the morale and well-being of children. It is

my sincerest goal that the My Friend Huggles products will

evolve into a movement, a world-wide social community

focused on nourishing the development of character values

in children. I believe that to make a difference we need to

focus on education and foundational values, and this needs

to start in the early years of child development. I developed

My Friend Huggles with the ideal of a world where everyone

is treated equally, where children grow up to be conscious,

ethical, empathetic human beings. As My Friend Huggles

expands its line and develops new products, I will continue

to strive for equality, integrity, innovation and excellence in

product development.

ishing and enriching the well-being of children

through meaningful play we will aid in creating

1. What makes these dolls different from other dolls in the marketplace?

My Friend Huggles dolls are unique, desirable, affordable, and offer value on many levels. The international market has con-

firmed that there is a need to go back to basics (no batteries, no inappropriate attire, and no plastic parts). The consumer

not only brings home a doll, but an experience that is sure to promote positive character value building from an early age,

ultimately resulting in future generations of kind, well rounded, considerate and compassionate young people. Brenda Katz

creator of My Friend Huggles states:

“I believe that our character value building dolls will shift the paradigm from that of the “me-centered”

attitude to one of social consciousness. The life-size aspect of the doll reduces the me-centered focus and

helps parents as a teaching aide from an early age (Huggles are the same size as an average two year

old).”

My Friend Huggles promotes this with the motto: “Love, Learn & Share” encouraging the following: LOVE children by pro-

viding them with the experiences that will teach them character values, teach them how to LEARN character values and

SHARE information about character values, and their successes in learning them, with others.

2. What was the inspiration behind Huggles dolls?

With the recent epidemic of bullying, Great Divide President, Brenda Katz, wanted to develop a product for children that

would to make a difference in this world, to teach children the importance of treating others with love and respect; no mat-

ter where they are from, or how they look. This is why My Friend Huggles was designed with quirky facial features. My Friend

Huggles dolls aim to teach children that no one should ever feel isolated from society and we should treat everyone with

equality. They are an important reminder that bullying others needs to come to an end. This commitment and determina-

tion to aid in stopping bullying evolved the back to basics approach: an affordable product price, simplistic, quality prod-

uct construction and what we teach our children—foundational character values.

When people buy a child a My Friend Huggles doll they not only bring home a cuddly doll and a bedtime companion, they
