• Gripen NG will provide benefits beyond the enlargement of the Brazilian Air Force’s operational capacity. In addition to equipping FAB with one of the world's most modern fighters, the participation in the development of Gripen NG means a technological breakthrough for Brazilian industry.

ON TRACK FOR CUSTOMER DELIVERY
Since the unveiling of Gripen E in May we have performed validation and verification activities such as tests in rigs and simulators
and started the ground test period performing both engine tests
and successful taxi testing with the first Gripen E test aircraft.

• 12 month final design phase completed late 2016 as part of the FX-2 ToT programme included three specialist engineers from Embraer
• Designed from the outset for CATOBAR and STOBAR
• Same operational capability plus commonality with Gripen E
• Small size allows more aircraft to be embarked than larger two engine competition
• On condition maintenance for simplified embarked support
• Best in class availability for high tempo sustained operations at sea
• The development of Gripen Maritime would be conducted with full participation of Brazilian industry

CONTRACT WITH ATMOS ON ILS
• Contract signed last week
• Atmos have excellent know-how within radar maintenance and support.
• Build-up of component maintenance capabilities for Gripen sensor systems such as radar and electronic warfare equipment in country to support Brazilian autonomy.
• Atmos will also be responsible for in country component maintenance for such systems.
• To secure a cost efficient maintenance solution for the Gripen platform and to secure outstanding availability for the complete weapon system.
