HOW ARE PRH MADE?

A PHR is created when a body was put in a place where no air or moisture could get to it. Lack of air and moisture delays the

decaying process and mummifies the body.

MAKING PHR ON PURPOSE

The two most famous ways of creating PHR on purpose are:

MUMMIFICATION

FREEZING

CRYOGENIC FREEZING

The is a relatively new process where a body is frozen in the hope of reviving it in the future.

Your body is frozen using liquid nitrogen at stored at –220 degrees C

The only drawback is that it doesn’t actually work yet!!

THIS UNIT

This unit we are going to look at PHR from around the world. We are first going to look closely at the ICEMAN – where he was found, when, how, by who etc.We are then going to widen our study with individual looks at different mummies from all over the place.
