On behalf of Edmonton’s Food Bank, thank you for joining us for our 2020 Magical Christmas Music Gala. While our time together tonight will be very different from our usual Gala, we know that our event this evening will be a wonderful start to your Christmas season.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our long-time friend, Tom Jackson, who will be performing The Huron Carole for us tonight. The Huron Carole is a beautiful musical tradition, and for many years, Tom has been sharing songs and stories across Canada to nourish hope, feed the soul, and inspire a spirit of giving.

Tonight is only possible because of our new presenting sponsor, Enbridge. Throughout all the uncertainties of 2020, they have provided us continual support and guidance to help bring this event to you tonight.

While we may not be physically together this evening, know that your support and generosity is helping to build a stronger community and a kinder world. Despite all of the challenges that 2020 has laid before us, we can go forward confident that none of us are alone and that there is no issue we cannot overcome together.
