Ontario’s CurriculumOntario’s Curriculum

When Ontario’s Ministry of Education introduced the new curriculum, the guidelines included a new, standardized way of assessing and evaluating students.

The Ministry guidelines were very specific about how a rubric should be structured and the language it contains. In addition, every rubric needed to explicitly state which curriculum expectations were being measured.

The creation of a well written, effective rubric can be very time consuming. What could be done to reduce the amount of time it takes to create these assessments without sacrificing the quality?
