Lateral Maxillary Sinus Floor Elevation: A Safe andEfficient Approach Using Piezosurgery
Upon completion of this course، attendeeswill have an understanding of:
Sponsored by:
Fee: Gratis Hands-On Course, Attendance is Limited.AGD Code: 690
Sinus floor elevation is a predictable procedurewhen placing implants in the atrophic posteriormaxilla. Several techniques were described in orderto access the maxillary antrum and safely elevatethe sinus mucosa. Piezoelectric bone surgery iscurrently considered a state-of-the-art tool whenperforming sinus floor elevations. Because of theirperforming sinus floor elevations. Because of theiraccurate micrometric and selective actionpiezoelectric inserts perform precise and safe bonecutting of the buccal sinus bone and prevent sinusmucosa perforations.
• Proper indication for sinus lift technique whenplacing implants in atrophic posterior maxilla.• Manipulation of piezosurgery units and assessthe efficiency of different piezosurgery inserts• Performing practical training on step-by-stepclinical procedure of lateral sinus floor elevationtechniquetechnique
During this course, we will review surgical anatomyand present radiographic assessment advantagesin order to detect anatomic risk factors and ruleout pathologic conditions that may jeopardize thefinal surgical outcome. Latest advances in lateralsinus floor elevation surgical technique will bepresented and the importance of new advancespresented and the importance of new advancesand technologies, such as the use of piezosurgerywill be exposed. Management and prevention ofcomplications will be lastly developed and long-termclinical and radiographic follow-up will be explained.
At the end of the theoretical part, participants willhave the opportunity to exercise their practicalskills using piezosurgery units. The efficiency ofdifferent piezosurgery inserts will be tested oneggs model. Lateral sinus floor elevation techniqueusing new, safe and efficient, piezoelectric insertswill be performed on lamb models.will be performed on lamb models.

Immediate Loading and Implant Placement - From Biology to the Final Prosthodontics
Course Objectives:
Sponsored by:
Fee: $200 USD (10% to be donated to IDREF)Hands-On Workshop, Attendance is Limited. AGD Code: 690
In immediate loading, the survival rate is often based on the follow-up of the osseointegration, but without aesthetic ap-preciation. The main goal is to achieve osseointegration and aesthetics with long-term stability. For this success we need to obtain both, bone formation and gum thickness, as anyfailure in one of the two factors will induce the loss in the second factor. Several requirements have to be reached in order to obtain and maintain them together for a very long time:
• Biological requirements are linked to the early vasculariza-tion (appreciation of the biologic level, growth factors, col-lagen environment).
• Anatomical & Surgical requirements will help to identify the best implant placement and positioning (Fast Guide system, sub-crestal insertion, platformswitching, etc…).
• Prosthetic requirements are essential for aesthetic as guid-ance for soft tissuedesign (rigid and screwed provisional prosthesis).
• Learn how to ideally position implants (biology, approach, mate-rial, surgery)• Identify the limits and indications of immediate loading• Ensure a sustainable and aesthetic treatment with immediate loading
