Dear Hockey Fans,

As the 2011-12 season gets underway in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, it’s once again time to make your plans and secure your seats for college hockey’s premier post-season championship, the annual Red Baron™ WCHA Final Five.

Over the past 11 seasons, the WCHA, Xcel Energy Center, the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and the Saint Paul community have worked together to forge a tremendously successful partnership dedicated to providing college hockey’s best fans with college hockey’s best hockey.

Set for March 15 through March 17 at the spectacular Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, the 2012 edition of the annual Red Baron™ WCHA Final Five will again feature the six-team, five-game format that made its debut a year ago. We will have two opening tournament games on Thursday, two semi-final match ups on Friday, followed by the Broadmoor Trophy championship contest on Saturday evening.

At the annual Red Baron™ WCHA Final Five, it’s all about WCHA hockey. Great teams and great players engaged in intense rivalries. It’s enthusiastic jersey-clad fans cheering on their favorite teams. It’s the fun-filled Microsoft Store WCHA Fan Fest on Friday and Saturday. It’s Dance Mania throughout all five games. It’s passionate pep bands. And it’s families and friends coming together for three days of heart-thumping and highly-invigorating up and down action.

We sincerely hope you will choose to join us again in Saint Paul next March 15-17 for the 2012 Red Baron™ WCHA Final Five. Enjoy the season!

Warmest Regards, Bruce M. McLeod WCHA Commissioner
