Business Diversity – DFW Beliefs
Ensure that opportunities created by expenditure of Airport funds are available to MWBEs DFW spent $2.2 billion million on construction,
design, and other procurement services with 38% or $490 million to MWBEs
– Remain as the catalyst for growth of small, minority and women-owned businesses in the region
– Provide capacity-building tools and pathways for all companies that do business with DFW to grow, prosper and succeed
Provide more access to Airport contracts for all small businesses, including minority- and women-owned firms
Strive for Operational Excellence in the Airport’s procurement, contracting processes and procedures

• Do your homework first:– Who is DFW?– Are we a prospective client?– Do we utilize your product or service?– How do we procure your product or service?
• New Supplier Registration (Online Vendor Registration)• Are you S/D/M/WBE certified?• Do you have the required insurance/bonding?• Check website on a weekly basis for current solicitations• Attend pre-bid/proposal and outreach conferences to meet potential
bidders/proposers, airport staff and learn about bidding & proposal requirements• Fully understand bid/proposal requirements and deadlines
– When in doubt, ASK! Late means late!
– Upon successful contract award, deliver customer excellence! • If at first you don’t succeed, request a debrief, then try and try again.
