Youth for Christ
of East Michigan
a non-profit 501(c)(3). dedicated to reaching teens where they
are and offer guidance plus a sense of belonging. Too many
students are suffering from depression which is leading to very
poor choices. This out-reach is done by working together with the
local churches and like minded partners who lead by their godli-
ness in life style. Staff and volunteers train student leaders to
come along side of their peers in school to encourage and be in
a positive relationship. Teens are being reached in schools
through our Core groups which utilizes student lead gatherings.
Our Juvenile Justice Ministry works with at risk teens in the juvenile
centers and on school campuses through the alternative
education system. YFCEM is saving lives by teaching positive
alternatives. www.yfcem.org

Macomb Children’s
Hands-On Museum
Mission statement is to promote the progress of Science
and Innovation through knowledge of the past and
present and to inspire children to use them as building
blocks for the future. Current research confirms that young
children benefit greatly from the mental and physical
stimulation of an interactive children’s museum environ-
ment and exposure to the sciences increases the likelihood
that children will continue their education and ultimately
join the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics) workforce; which is vital to the future of
Macomb County.
