Commissioner Moore is a licensed real estate agent and professional musician, playing the flute. She was elected to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners – District 2, in November of 2018, representing Apopka, Ocoee, Lockhart, Tangerine, Zellwood, and portions of Pine Hills, College Park, and Orlando. Christine is the first female commissioner to serve District 2 in Orange County. She also previously served on the Orange County School Board from 2008-2018.
She earned her Certified County Commissioner designation in June 2019 from the Florida Association of Counties. This CCC designation indicates the completion of a comprehensive program of study related to best county governance practices in the State of Florida.
As a representative of the Board of County Commissioners, Commissioner Moore serves on the Board of Directors for United Arts of Central Florida. She is also Vice Chair of the Central Florida Metropolitan Planning Organization Alliance, a group that is committed to addressing transportation challenges in all of Central Florida.

Commissioner Moore envisioned a mural in Lockhart showing the history of the District 2 community from its days as a lumber community to today and the future. She created the Lockhart Community History Mural which was dedicated on February 29, 2020 before a large audience who came out to hear the artist speak. It is painted on a wall located at Lake Lockhart and Edgewater Drives. Following the dedication, Commissioner Moore also created a driving tour related to the mural, and a supporting badge program for young adults.
As a school board member, Commissioner Moore was board-certified, a distinction granted to those board members who serve with the highest degree of training in best governance practices. She chaired the district wide Communications Committee and is proud of the accomplishments achieved under her tenure such as the district earning the Broad Prize for Urban Education. Additionally, while serving, Orange County Public Schools achieved the highest graduation rates in district history.
Commissioner Moore authored a local history book, Ahapopka, and created a supporting honors program which includes a scouting organization-styled badge, educational field trips, and an essay contest which promoted local history and environmental responsibility. A program which continues today.
Commissioner Moore belongs to the Apopka and West Orange Chambers of Commerce, Trinity Baptist Church, and the historical societies for both Apopka and Orange County. Christine has two children and two grandchildren. She lives in northwest Orange County and enjoys gardening, hiking, reading a good book, and playing with her granddaughters at Orange County parks.
