About usWATERPOLO PEOPLE is a 'NO PROFIT' Association founded by personalities involved in the waterpolo world that, in accordance with the important work of sports institutions, proposes, in unity of purpose, to offer a contribution of ideas and initiatives for improving the popularity of water polo.

In the Waterpolo People illustrious personalities are committed such as Olympic gold medalists, high-level coaches, leaders of important clubs, heads of National Teams winners of the Olympics, World and European Championships, marketing experts, qualified entrepreneurs and journalists.

President of the Waterpolo People is Franco Porzio, Olympic gold medalist at Barcelona '92, world and European champion with the Italian national team and multi-titled with Posillipo. In 1997 Porzio founded the Acquachiara company in which he currently holds the position of Honorary President. Among the founders of Waterpolo People also Gabriele Pomilio, historical Team Manager of the Olympic champion Settebello and Gyeneral Manager of Pescara who in the 80s won all, and recently passed awa.

The competitionYELLOW BALL WATERPOLO INTERNATIONAL EVENT is an important competition dedicated to children and teenagers (9-15 years of age).

After the remarkable success of the previous three editions , experiencing the enthusiasm of families, managers, coaches and athletes, WATERPOLO PEOPLE association organizes the fourth edition, scheduled at Futura Club Itaca-Nausicaa Restort of Rossano Calabro (CS), Italy, from 24 to 30 JUNE 2018.

4 categories:• under 11 (Male ,Female or mixed)• under 13 (Male ,Female or mixed) • under 15 Male• under 15 Female.

The teams consist of a minimum of 12 players to a maximum of 15 ones.

Calabria, terra d’amareCalabria has been rewarded by the American newspaper New York Times as an unmissable Italian destination last summer 2017. Kilometres and kilometres of magnificent white beaches and jagged rocks close to a crystalline blue sea, a hinterland rich in natural beauties, smells and aromas typical of Mediterranean ecosystem, flavours of an ancient culinary tradition that finds its roots in the past generations and the warmth of a welcoming and hospitable people.

The main tourist resource in Calabria is the sea, with a very long coastline overlooking three seas (Tyrrhenian, Ionian, Strait of Messina). Rossano CalabroThis beautiful location, overlooking the sea, is located in the Piana di Sibari, and in particular between the beautiful Ionian coast and the Sila Mountain.In addition to the numerous buildings located throughout the town and privatized, in the historic center of Rossano you can visit many ancient works dating back, in particular, to the colonizing Greeks.

Three unmissable locations to visit in Rossano and surroundings:• Cathedral of Maria Santissima Achiropita, where the Madonna and the famous

"Codex Purpureus Rossanensis" are kept inside, a Greek gospel of the 5th century, written with gold and silver uncial characters on very precious purple parchment;

• The Liquorice Museum: unique in Italy to exhibit inside the tools used in the processing, marketing and extraction of the root from which the liquorice is obtained;

• The Abbey of Santa Maria del Patire and the Torre Stellata.

The Village

Futura Club Itaca-Nausicaa Resort in Rossano Calabro (Cosenza) will host the fourth edition of Yellow Ball Waterpolo International Event

A spectacular location that can boast inside: apartments, four playgrounds, three swimming pools dedicated to athletes and families, soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, private beach for participants and relatives, amphitheatre for shows and evening games, entertainment service, large restaurant for breakfast-lunch-dinner.

Cherry on the top, then, is the majestic Acquapark Odyssey 2000, present within the complex: it is the largest water park in Southern Italy.

To formalize the registration, it will be necessary to send, by mail, the documentation requested by Waterpolo People, duly completed.

Finally, each registered team, through its manager or coach, will register the team on the site www.yellowball.it

REGISTRATIONS FRO THE EVENT WILL BE OPEN FROM 8th DECEMBER 2017 UNTIL 28th

OF FEBRUARY 2018

THE REGISTRATION APPLICATIONS THAT WILL PERCEIVE AFTER 28 FEBRUARY 2018 WILL BE INSERTED IN A WAITING LIST.

PARENT STAY

Some of Parents will also be staying at the complex of the Furaura Club Itaca-Nausicaa Resort in Rossano Calabro.

While the Ithaca village is dedicated to the athletes and the teams, the parents will spend their stay in the Nausicaa village

The two villages are practically adjacent and access to the parents or any relative from the village Nausicaa to the village Ithaca is allowed for FREE.

Waterpolo People Association, in the coming months, will communicate to the registered teams the price in agreement reserved for parents or any accompanying person who would like to stay at the facility during the days of the Yellow Ball event.
