Building the C2E Curriculum
The project wants to develop and test new training curricula and courses (online and face to face) for young carers that will allow them to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and competences to become young entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurial competences, such as business and strategic planning with a social dimension, will be the main pillar of the capacity building course curriculum.
Building the C2E Curriculum
The curriculum are addressed to:
1) young carers to unlock their potential for becoming entrepreneurs;
2) professionals working with young carers to raise raising awareness of young carers skills and resilience, linking them with businesses and social enterprises and helping them to understand their needs for unlocking their potential.
The Curriculum
Training curriculum is a total package of learning activities designed to achieve the objectives of the training program, namely to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and competences to become young social entrepreneurs.
It is composed of three primary components :
• the content to be transmitted;
• the organization of the curriculum, which includes structure, format, and sequencing.
• the training methods.
The Content
- Enterprises/entrepreneurship for the care sector: characteristics, advantages, obstacles…
- Understand the relevant legislation and procedures applied to social enterprise at European and National level;
- Identify and asses the social impact of the enterprise;
- Manage HRs;
- Understand the financial management
- Efficiently organise the activities in line with quality management principle;
- Identify the business idea and define the business model;
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders.
The organisation
The curriculum will be organised in dedicated short module accessible online.
DIESIS will collect partners inputs in relation to existing best practices and tools in their respective countries and will design "shells" that will then be adjusted by each partner to construct the training.
The method
The C2E Training curriculum will be implemented and tested via dedicated training events: 2 face to face workshops/ seminars to young carers and 2 workshops/ seminars to professionals in each Country involved.
The results will be captured through evaluation forms and other monitoring activities and will be published at the projects final publication.
Roundtable in Belgium
A Round-table event will be organised in Brussels to present the Curriculum and disseminate project results towards stakeholders and organisations acting as multipliers. The event will bring together 25 national and 5 international participants to share learnings produced by the project and collect inputs for further implementation of the curricula and educational materials of the C2E at national level.
