Tip temperature verification

Users who wish to verify the output temperatures of JBC Advanced Series equipment can use our TI-A Thermometer.

How to use it?

• Clean the sensor of the thermometer of previous flux residues if necessary.

• Place the tip on the sensor of the thermometer at a 30º angle as shown in the picture.

• Check the solder on the tip is doing right thermal contact to the sensor. If necessary, add new fresh solder.

• Wait until the temperature is steady.

• Use THERMAL EFFICIENT TOOLS

• Choose the BIGGEST SIZED tip possible

• Use mildly activated FLUX. IPC recommends ROL, REL and ORL

• Leave the tip with a COAT OF TIN when not in use

• Use the SLEEP & HIBERNATION functions

• DO NOT apply too much pressure to the tip
