    TheGovernmentofMalawi1with

    supportfromInternationalPartnershas

    implementedthefirsttwostages(data

    collection,classificationandtagging)of

    theActionIntelligenceFramework.This

    hasresultedinanorganizedqualitative

    dataset2tosupportconsultantsand

    countryanalystspreparingtwonational

    strategicplans.Sixhigh-riskdistrictshave

    alsohadindividualClimateAction

    Intelligenceprofilesprepared.

    Itisalsoimportanttoassesstheresourcesthatthecountryispreparedtoextendfor

    implementingtheAIprocess.Isittobeaone-offexercisetosupportaspecificpolicy

    initiative?Willongoingmonitoringofactionbecriticalforfuturedecision-makingorpolicy

    development?IsthereastrongsenseofwantingtobuildlocalsustainablecapacityforAIor

    wouldaservicesubscriptionbemoreaccessible?

    AllRapidInterventionsusingtheActionIntelligenceFrameworkstartwitha one-to-two

    weekin-countrydiscoveryanddesignphasethatcoversthefollowingactivities:

    Keyquestionsthatneedtobeanswered(ofthedata) Theresourcecontext(people,sustainability,scale,ownershipetc.) Technologyreview(tounderstandlocalcapacityandinfrastructurerealities). Rapidreviewofthekeydatasets,reports,surveyresults,informationassetsetc.that

    Thelength,durationandresourcesrequiredforthedatacollectionphasearedependentontheresultsofthepreviousphase.Typically,alocalAIteamworksbetween1to4monthsto

    collect,extractandcategorizedataintoanorganizeddataset.Insomecaseshowever,core

    datasetsalreadyexistandthefocusthenbecomeshowthisdatacanbeenhanced,extended

    orreutilizedforricheranalysis.

    Remoteandlocaltechnicalsupportisprovidedintheuseoftools,updatestotemplates,the

    applicationofsurveytools,specialistdatamanipulationfordatafromvariousdatasetsetc.

    Analysisisaspecialistskillanddifferentcountriesbringdifferentmixesofcapability

    togethertoanalyzeandreviewinsights.

    Insomecases,existingleadershipteamsmaywanttousethedatatosupportcoordination
