A ghost is the soul or spirit of a dead person or animal that can appear, in visible form or other manifestation, to the living. Descriptions of the apparition of ghosts vary widely from an invisible presence to translucent or barely visible wispy shapes, to realistic, lifelike visions.

Religion and ghosts…Hinduism teaches that ghosts are people without physical bodies, the souls of people who died before their time, typically by tragedy.  Many Hindus believe human beings have two bodies.

many followers prefer cremation of the deceased person's body, as this is believed to prevent the soul (or ghost) of the person from trying to re-enter their old body after death.

Animism is a term used for the beliefs about ghosts and spirits found within primitive tribes around the world.  Many believe animism to be the common beliefs found within tribal societies, from which other religions eventually evolved

/Islam, as a whole, does not teach the existence of ghosts or reincarnation, as many Muslims believe the Quran and Hadith do not make mention of either.  The most widely accepted belief is that the spirit of a person remains in the grave until the end time of judgment.Islam however teach about zars and jinn, typically believed not to be ghosts or angels, but beings that dwell in the unseen, created before mankind, some being good, some being bad, and all created to worship God known as, Allah.

Christianity, especially fundamental christianity, does not believe in the existence of ghosts, due to the teaching of an eternal hell .  Fundamentalists believe that people cannot become ghosts, as upon death, one will either find their self in either a state of bliss called, heaven, or in an eternal place of suffering taught as, hell.  Therefore, there is no place left for a ghost to exist, as teachers of the religion do not recognize any biblical passages stating to the contrary.

Native American spiritual beliefs hold rich accounts of ghosts and spirits - that the dead live on and even visit us. Death is typically viewed as a door into the next life, or world, and not something to be feared but embraced.

Judaism holds the traditional view that ghosts exist, but should not be consulted.  The Hebrew word for ghost is ovoth, but a more profound word for ghost is dybbuk .  A dybbuk is a wandering soul that can possess or attach to a living person, in an attempt to control the body and actions to do their will.  The word means "to cling" or "cleave," and amazingly is not always viewed as a bad thing to have.  Judaism believes not only ghosts can cling, but also spirit guides who assist those on earth will do so for a time.

AFTER CHECKING OUT SOME OF THE MOST HAUNTED PLACES IN THE WORLD ,VARIOUS SCIENTISTS SAY THAT GHOSTS ARE PROBABLY JUST DRAUGHTS ,LOW LIGHT AND EVEN UNUSUAL MAGNETIC FIELDS.
