Who we are and what we do

• AIDA is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation dedicated to the pursuit of leadership, partnership & scholarship in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, education and workforce.

• Incorporated in 1998.

It is about understanding the person and not justthe problem, taking an holistic approach. It is very rewarding to seechildren that have had a difficult time doing well. There is no greater

reward than to see a child happy.”

A career in medicine is very fulfilling and I am so pleased it gives me anopportunity to care for my people

and to influence Indigenous health policy. If you are thinking abouta career in medicine, then I say go for it.
