Dukhan Oil Fields: The BeginningDukhan is a town on theWest Coast of Qatar,

whereall its onshore oil is produced.

Oil was first discovered in 1939 and exported in 1949.

XXXX barrels / xx are now piped to Umm Said for refining and export.

Qatar Makes Concessions...In the 1990s, Qatar

gave QP custodianship of the western area of Qatar to explore and develop.

The Concession Area is an 80km x 50km strip along the West Coast.
