PRESENTATION ON ECO FRIENDLY SANITARY NAPKINS ‘HER’ PRESENTATION ON ‘ECO FRIENDLY SANITARY NAPKINS’ “Let’s create an environment that doesn’t need protecting.” Inspired by this quote, we made a PPT for a science competition to help improve the economic situation of the poor women and for the improvement of the environmental strain that is being caused due to the usage of synthetic Sanitary napkins. 70% of the women in India cannot afford to buy sanitary napkins, hence, being forced to use the unhygienic material such as grass, husk sand, paper and dirty clothing. In addition to the lack of sanitation among the majority of the female population, the environment is polluted due to the disposal of the synthetic sanitary napkins which fill up the already scarce landfill space. We decided to take forward this idea and help create a larger impact on the society by presenting Hygienic Ecofriendly and Reliable Sanitary Napkins (HER napkins) By presenting our PPT in front of the 78 girls of classes VII to XI of Shiksha Kendra, we got a tremendous response from the students as most of them were convinced to use HER napkins and were willing to be part of the initiative. We hope to spread this small initiative and create an even bigger impact on the society to help women and reduce the landfill space occupied by the non- biodegradable waste.
