Family Day Special Collection: I have to let you know that both, our Parish and Finance Councils, agree to cancel the Family Day Fundraiser this year only. As you are aware, this fundraiser is the main Parish Activity which supports our budget all fiscal year. Then, with-out this activity we have to reduced our budget. How-ever, this action is not enough without any extra help. Because of this situation, as your Pastor, once again I

appeal to your generosity. First of all inviting everyone who is ready to help Family Day by giving a donation; do it in a monetary way, anything will help us a lot. Secondly, we will provide you with an envelope similar to the Idaho Catholic Appeal. It would only be to support our Parish this year due to the cancellation of the Family Day Fundraiser.

Thanks again, and I hope that through our active faith and support we will continue serving you, and building God’s Kingdom in our communities.

BE AWARE: Mr. Avelino Orozco Rodríguez, who has served as parochial vicar in the churches of San Pio V, San Bonifacio, La Purísima and San Eduardo / San Felipe de Jesús, has been released from the priestly obligations of Pope Francis. With his new lay status, he cannot celebrate Holy Mass or any other sacrament if not in danger of death. Par-ticipation in the ministry of exorcism or healing is prohib-ited. The faithful should avoid participating in every spiri-tual activity in which Avelino Orozco is present. Those in need of prayer, healing, or exorcism should contact their pastor or assistant pastor.

POTL RELIGIOUS EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN. We have been blessed to participate in the faith formation of hundreds of children and their fami-lies. We have been equally blessed by the support

of our priests, parents, staff and the many of catechists and volunteers who step forward each year. Presentation of the Lord offers religious education for children 4 years old through high school,. Registration Forms will be available at the at the office until September 15th when registration will close for this years’ classes. No student will be accepted for religious education classes after September 15, 2020. Requirements:

• First Communion: Children must be 7 years old or be in 2nd grade of primary school.

• Confirmation: Young people must be 14 years old or be in the 9th grade of high school.

• Certificate of Baptism at the time of registration. Please do not let finances stand in the way of giving your children a religious education! We do not want a single child to miss out on Reli-gious Education because of finances! To request tuition assistance, please call the parish office. All requests for financial assistance are kept confidential. You must be a registered parishioner of Presentation of the Lord parish to request tuition assistance.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL: We are grateful we have been able to con-

tinue operating throughout this pandemic, but we continue to see a rise

in first-time food pantry participants and especially requests for finan-

cial assistance, which we are filling with limited income. So, if you

would still like to help the poor during these difficult financial times,

there are several ways you can do it. You can contribute via credit card

on our website: svdppoc.com. You can mail us a check made payable to

St. Vincent de Paul and with this method you can specify how you

would like us to apply the funds – food pantry, social services, or great-

est need. You can include it in your church offering on a separate line so

the office staff knows this. Or you can bring it by in person. All dona-

tions are tax deductible. We recognize what a privilege your trust in us

is, and we appreciate your support and prayers. Current needs are: furni-

ture donations– all pieces and sizes except beds – clean and gently used.

Also, clear packing tape, large jugs white vinegar, boxes of 50- and 35-

POTL EDUCACIÓN RELIGIOSA PARA NIÑOS. Hemos tenido la suerte de participar en la formación en la fe de cientos de niños y sus familias. Hemos sido igualmente bendeci-

dos por el apoyo de nuestros sacerdotes, padres, personal y los muchos catequistas y voluntarios que dan un paso al frente cada año. Presentación del Señor ofrece educación religiosa para niños de 4 años hasta la escuela secundaria.

Los formularios de inscripción estarán disponibles en la ofici-na hasta el 15 de septiembre, cuando se cerrará la inscripción para las clases de este año. Ningún estudiante será aceptado para clases de educación religiosa después del 15 de septiem-bre de 2020.

Requisitos:

• Primera comunión: Los niños tienen que tener 7 años cumplidos o estar en 2do grado de primaria.

• Confirmación: Los jóvenes tienen que tener los 14 años cumpli-dos o estar en el 9no grado de Secundaria

• Copia del certificado de Bautismo al momento de la registración. ¡Por favor, no permita que las finanzas obstaculicen la educación religiosa de sus hijos! ¡No queremos que un solo niño se pierda la educación religiosa debido a las finanzas! Colecta Especial por el Día de la Familia: Tengo que hacerle sa-ber que ambos, nuestros consejos parroquiales y financieros, acep-tan cancelar la recaudación de fondos del Día de la Familia solo este año. Como saben, esta recaudación de fondos es la principal actividad parroquial que respalda nuestro presupuesto durante todo el año fiscal. Luego, sin esta actividad, tenemos que reducir nues-tro presupuesto. Sin embargo, esta acción no es suficiente sin nin-guna ayuda adicional. Debido a esta situación, como su Pastor, una vez más apelo a su ge-nerosidad. En primer lugar, invitar a todos los que estén listos para ayudar al Día de la Familia haciendo una donación; hacerlo de manera monetaria, cualquier cantidad nos ayudará mucho. En segundo lugar, le proporcionaremos un sobre similar al de la Campaña Católica de Idaho.
