I live in Begichevo. My home village is small. You cannot find it on the map of our great motherland. If you take a map of Dzerzhinsky District or Kaluga region, you can find there Begichevo designated as Lenin State Farm.

In 18 - 19 centuries, the village belonged to Kaluga governor Smirnov, then to the Prince Trubetskoy and then to the count Tolstoy. Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin visited this place.Central Manor

The Almshouse, founded by the first landowner.

The system of aristocratic ponds is still kept. One of them is located near the school. In the center of the pond has been installed an arbour. There is a legend: A.S.Pushkin has been there and when the poet was walking over the bridge to the arbour, dropped his gold watch into the water. That’s why the villagers call this pound Pushkin pound.

One pond becomes a skating rink in winter, where children ride.

After the Revolution the estate was converted into a farm, and since 1919 till 1991 it has been a State Farm.
