    TOOL CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED agovernment of India undertaking in January,1967bin collaboration with M/s. WMW, GDR, thethen east Germany, for the purpose of makingIndia self-reliant in manufacture of precisiongrinding machines. This unit was merged withM/s.HMT Limited in 1975.

    From 1.4.2000 it became a unit of HMTMACHINE TOOLS LTD., a wholly ownedsubsidiary of HMT Limited.
