Team’s are required to.....
Raise funds for an expedition to cross the ‘White continent’
1. Convince sponsors of the relevance to their causes
2. Plan the logistics, finance and timing of their envisaged journey

IMPRESS THE SPONSORS!You’ll need to convince four potential sponsors to give you the extra funds.
They are looking for…• Detailed plans and accurate costs• High regard for health and safety• The benefit to their cause• Evidence of excellent teamwork.
Rule#1
The crossing must be undertaken by 3 people using motorized sledges
Rule#2There must be three support staff at
aspecially fabricated Base Camp at the start point. This team will monitor the expedition and be responsible for its safety until it has crossed the continent.
Rules#3
A support plane must be used to carry fuel and provide emergency recue service if required. It must also be on standby throughout the crossing
Rule#4
• Routes across Antartica must start and finish at designated points
Rule#5
• Routes must cross through the South Pole
Rule#6• The team must cross Antartic and
therefore cant– Return by the same route– Or return within 90’ of their route to
the pole
Rule#7
• Teams must start and finish in London and must supply dates for both
Rule#8
• The crossing must take place during the Antartic Summer
Rule#9
• Costs must be covered by raising your own and official sponsorships. No borrowing is allowed
Rule#10• As part of the expedition you must
agree to re-supply food to a completely separate, man hauling expedition at a critical point in the journey.
