Motivation

1.8 billion people used unsafe water in 2010.

More than 3.4 million people die each year from water, sanitation, and hygiene-related causes. Nearly all deaths, 99

percent, occur in the developing world.

Agua Para el Pueblo: (Water for People), a NGO working in Honduras who manages the construction and technical support for AguaClara plants

LLC: AguaClara LLC is a social enterprise that designs and deploys sustainable community owned drinking water treatment technologies

Accomplishments

Since 2005…Completed 9 water treatment plants in Honduras

serving over 36,000 people.Two more under construction in Jesus de Otoro

and Moroceli, HondurasTwo plants nearing completion in India.
