• Created in 1927 by Claudius Devernois, the company ini;ally specialized in jacquard knitwear for men, women and children, before management shiNed its focus to women’s ready-‐to-‐wear in the six;es.
• The label was further developed in the seven;es by the founder’s children, Jean Bernard and Zélia Devernois, and Zélia’s husband, Pierre Boël.
• During the eigh;es, DEVERNOIS very quickly expanded into other European markets and stepped up the pace of growth by developing a franchise network. It also went public with an ini;al public offering of shares on the Paris Bourse.

The Future • The second genera;on made the label a market success and led a host of
unforgeWable adver;sing campaigns based on the slogan “En Devernois, je suis moi” (“When I’m wearing Devernois, I can be myself”). Historically a manufacturer, DEVERNOIS now has 180 retail outlets, and the arrival of the third genera;on has invigorated the label in terms of both design and distribu;on. Zélia’s daughter, Séverine Brun, has reprised the DEVERNOIS look, promising a contemporary slant while remaining true to the Devernois tradi;on. As a young, ac;ve, athle;c execu;ve who successfully combines a career and family life, Séverine can easily iden;fy with her customers. She is leading Devernois into a new phase of its long history, by moulding the company’s tradi;on of quality with a contemporary, signature look. With her inside knowledge of the family business, Séverine is able to build on the label’s strengths and modernize it using a strong product/store concept.
