CALSTART’s History of EV Experience
ü In the 1990’s, CALSTART led a mulR-‐party effort to build 500+ EV charging staRons in CA
• Today, CALSTART’s new parking lot canopy and roo\op solar panels provide clean, renewable energy to the Pasadena headquarters building, and allow our growing fleet of EV’s to charge with near zero emission electricity.
• California public funding is scheduled to decline • CALSTART is working on a separate iniRaRve to sustain the funding state incenRves for EV’s and infrastructure.
Project Background Why Workplace Charging? ü Fills a criRcal gap in PEV
Infrastructure needs ü Extends the range of PEVs
and builds the market
ü Creates local ‘PEV showrooms’ for info sharing on vehicles
ü EV’s can act as ‘employee pool cars’ for day trips
