The Project

Brasileta was born from the desire to rethink about the “whats”, “whys” and “how” we dress.

Not only the quality and the brand, but the origin of the products, the environmental impact that each piece generates during the production process, the concern with those that make them, fair prices for the produces and buyers.

Produced with fabrics that are eco friendly, the pieces are made by local seamstress living in the suburbs of São Paulo.

Our proposal is to give an incentive to the small business / producers, by paying fair prices for their services, treating them with the due respect.

The prints are created by young designers and they will have their names printed in each piece, just like an art piece.

The collection

Who are the designers?

Once the theme is chosen, it is proposed to young designers that develop the prints and other imagers.

These images are then applied to the fabrics / pieces along with the name of his designer.

The sew up process happen in group of seamstress living in risk areas of São Paulo´s suburbs. They work from home. That´s a way to literally keep their kids out of trouble by spending more time with them. This will keep them more productive, and reduces the “absences” and accidents.
