Presentation Notes
This slide represents properly the SAFETY building. Firstly I am sure we don’t need to invent anything as all is included in the Corporative H&S Manual and Procedures. Safety is supported by three main pillars which are the Procedures, the personnel Competence and the Operational Control. The Procedures pillar lays on three stones which are the Hazard Identification, the Risk Assessment and the consequent Preventive Measures (sounds familiar?). The Competence lays on two stones which are represented by the Training and the task Awareness (again no news). Finally, the Operational Control pillar rests on the Safety Inspection and the Task Observation stones (just check the MAXAM Procedures). If we find something to be improved or corrected or some preventive measure is to be adopted we reinforce the Procedures pillar basement. We can imagine that if any of these stones fail; the pillar will fall down and the building will collapse. We can also guess that first pillar basement is much more fragile than the second and third and if we miss a single stone in those second an third, the collapse will happen in the near future but in the first pillar will be immediate.
