  • 9 Here are a couple of hints to help you determine if you need a subjunctive or not. sirva Conoces un restaurante que sirva comida italiana? tenga Hay alguien que tenga un lpiz? Is there somebody who has a pencil? (I dont know whether there is anyone or not.) Do you know a restaurant (any one) that serves Italian food? A question can sometimes indicate a subjunctive. But, be careful sirve Conoces el restaurante que sirve comida italiana? You know, the new one they opened last week.
