SE FORMA
Con el infinitivo del verbo sin “to” (forma básica) para todas las
personas, a excepción de la tercera persona del singular que se le añade
una –s final.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS
El presente continuo se forma con el presente del auxiliar “to be”y el gerundio del verbo que
se conjugue e ing.
EJEMPLOS:
I pLAY YO JUEGO
I AM PLAYING YO ESTOY JUGANDO
Sujeto + verbo (am,
is, are) +ING.
EXCEPCIONES AL AÑADIR -S
CUANDO EL VREBO TERMINA EN -S, -SS, -SH, -O, -CH, -X SE
AÑADE AL TERCERA PERSONA DEL SINGULAR LA TERMINACIÓN
“-ES”.
I kiss / yo beso
she kisses / ella besa.
CUANDO TERMINA EN “Y” PRECEDIDA DE CONSONANTE
CAMBIA LA “Y” POR “IES”.
I try / yo intento
he tries / él intenta.
FORMAS NEGATIVAS, INTERROGATIVA E INTERROGATIVA-NEGATIVA
A diferencia del español, para su construcción se recurre al verbo “to do” que realiza una función auxiliar. En la
tercera persona la forma “do” cambia por “does”.
