The Amarillo VA Health Care System, a division of the Southwest VA Health Care Network (VISN 18), provides primary specialty, and extended care of the highest quality to veterans throughout the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles, eastern New Mexico, and southern Kansas. Approximately 25,000 patients are treated annually. The health care system maintains 55 acute care inpatient beds for general medical, surgical, and intensive care. Geriatric and extended care is provided in the 120-bed skilled nursing home care unit. A modern ambulatory care center and medical arts building facilitates the delivery of primary care, specialty care and preventive health services. The Amarillo VA Health Care System also ensures health care is accessible to those veterans residing in rural areas through three community-based outpatient clinics located in Lubbock, Childress, and Dalhart, Texas, as well as Clovis, New Mexico.

The El Paso VA Health Care System serves Veterans in far Southwest Texas and Doña Ana County, New Mexico. The El Paso VA Health Care System (VAHCS) includes the main health care facility located adjacent to William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) on Ft. Bliss, Texas, and two VA-staffed Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) – one in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the second in east El Paso. The VAHCS provides primary and specialized ambulatory care services at its main campus with consultants and fee-basis specialists supplementing the medical staff.

The Northern Arizona VA Health Care System provides inpatient and outpatient care at the Bob Stump VAMC in Prescott, Arizona and also provides outpatient care at community based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) in Anthem, Flagstaff, Cottonwood, Kingman and Lake Havasu City, Arizona. We also provide Primary Care Telehealth at two outpatient clinics in Page and Holbrook, and serve those in highly rural areas at Chinle Comprehensive Care Facility (Indian Health Services) in Chinle, Arizona. The Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System is part of the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 18 and serves a population of about 75,000 Veterans in a primary service area that includes six counties in North Central Arizona.

Murphy VA Medical Center is a Level 1 tertiary referral center with a 24-hour Emergency Room located in the heart of the Land of Enchantment. The medical center is authorized to operate 310 beds, which include 184 acute hospital beds (including a 26 bed Spinal Cord Injury Center), 90 residential rehabilitation treatment program beds (including a 26 bed Psychosocial Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program [PRRTP], a 24 bed Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program [SARRTP], a 40 bed Domiciliary RRTP), and a 36-bed Nursing Home Care Unit.

About the VA Southwest Health Care Network

VISN 18 covers 352,000 square miles of highly diverse geography across the Southwestern United States. The network service area includes Arizona, New Mexico, the western portion of Texas, as well as bordering counties in Colorado and Oklahoma. In Fiscal Year 2013, we currently served approximately 278,000 veterans residing in the network. Within its vast borders, VISN 18 provides a comprehensive continuum of health care to veterans via 7 health care systems, 5 hospitals, 6 VA nursing home care units, 3 domiciliaries, and 46 outpatient clinics. The Network's Fiscal Year 13 budget was slightly more than $2 billion and employed about 10,600 people.

The network maintains approximately 1,350 inpatient beds and treats 27,000 inpatients annually. VISN 18 also supports 3.1 million outpatient visits each year. Network health care services include inpatient acute care, outpatient and primary care, mental health services, psychosocial rehabilitation, geriatrics care, long-term care, diagnostic services, specialized care such as Blind Rehabilitation and Spinal Cord Injury care, general rehabilitation services, prosthetics, and sensory aids.

Gallup Psychosocial Rehabilitation Recovery Treatment Program Short Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VISN 18) desires to establish a new lease for the Psychosocial

Rehabilitation Recovery Treatment Program in Gallup, New Mexico in order to provide our veterans in the Gallup area with quality medical care.

Short SOW: The Department of Veterans Affairs desires to lease space yielding 4,500 Net Usable Square Feet space in Gallup, New Mexico to be used as a residential treatment space. Offered space must yield a minimum of 4,500 NUSF, available for use by tenant personnel, tenant residents, furnishings, and equipment. The space must be accessible by public transportation and be ADA compliant. On-site parking for 25 vehicles is required, 8 of which must be reserved for disabled/handicapped parking, and 5 must be secured. The lease will be a fully serviced lease with a lease term of up to ten (10) years. Space may be provided by new construction (modular or brick and mortar) or modification of an existing space. The available space must be within the city limits of Gallup.
