prescare VELA Residential Aged Care PresCare Vela honours the individuality and dignity of each person and strives to excel at every facet of care to improve the quality of life for our residents. PresCare Vela is a 154-bed facility which includes a 30-bed special care unit for those diagnosed with dementia. We have single, ensuited rooms, all with air conditioning and ceiling fans. Some upper floor rooms have balconies. Each wing has well-appointed activities areas, cosy lounge areas and intimate dining areas. Visiting families and friends are welcomed by Vela’s friendly staff, and can take advantage of a number of the features at Vela including the BBQ area, beautiful gardens, cinema and state of the art function room. The Explorers Cafe, located in a picturesque courtyard behind Vela’s reception building, is open seven days per week and it includes a children’s play area. Vela also has our own Chaplain on site and our own private chapel as well as a fully-equipped gymnasium in which our physiotherapist provides tailored care to residents. We pride ourselves on providing a caring and friendly atmosphere where residents are involved in decisions relating to their health, care needs and social needs.
