A preposition connects a noun or pronoun to another word in the sentence, showing the relationship between them. Prepositions usually answer the questions where? or when?, telling about a person or object’s location in either time or space. Use one of the prepositions from the word bank in each of the blanks in the story below. Prepositions can be used more than once, as long as they make sense where you place them in the story.
