A FREE WORLD-CLASS EDUCATION FOR ANYONE, ANYWHERE

"Salman Khan said the SAT tutorials will allow students of varying skills 'to start wherever they are' academically. The free and open access, he said, will start 'to level the playing field' with students able to afford private tutors or coaching from commercial firms."

- Los Angeles Times

► "It’s a radically democratic reboot of the test-prep industry, which up until now reserved its advantages for the relatively well-heeled who could afford their pricey tutorials. The tutorials themselves, which went live this morning, are equally radical. They focused relentlessly on real learning." - Wired.com

► “Standardized test prep can often be financially prohibitive and this new program may provide an open door for low-income, under-resourced college aspirants,” adding that “...college preparation will be more readily available without the socioeconomic barrier.” - Forbes

I think they are really trying to change this from test preparation to an educational opportunity,' Hurd said." - Associated Press
