Aims of the session
To• consider why we should encourage the use of active learning strategies
in A level mathematics in general and in the mechanics element of the new A level in particular
• Use, analyse and critique two active learning resources designed to engage students when drawing and interpreting distance –time graphs with particular reference to acceleration.
• Use, analyse and critique a number of practical experiments to investigate moments and friction.
