Puppy Sweepstakes Eligibility: Any purebred Chinese Shar-Pei, 6 months and under 18 months of age and entered in a regular class at this show. Classes (Divided By Sex) - 6 months and under 9 months 9 months and under 12 months 12 months and under 18 months Veteran Sweepstakes: Any purebred Chinese Shar-Pei 7 years of age and older. Does NOT have to be entered in another class. Champions of Record and spayed or neutered Chinese Shar-Pei are eligible for Veteran Sweepstakes in accordance with Ch. 11, Section 8. Puppy Dog, 6 – 9 Months Puppy Dog, 9 – 12 Months Dogs, 12 – 18 Months Novice Dogs Amateur-Owner-Handler Dogs Bred-By Exhibitor Dogs – Brush Coat Bred-By Exhibitor Dogs – Horse Coat American Bred Dogs Open Dogs – Brush Coat Open Dogs – Horse Coat Winners (same Classes for Bitches) Bred by Exhibitor Class Eligibility (revised 09/02) All dogs entered in the Bred by Exhibitor Class must be individually registered with the AKC The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an owner of record of the dog. To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder and owner of record. Amateur-Owner-Handler Class (effective 1/1/2009) Chapter 3, Section 7 - The Amateur-Owner-Handler Class shall be for dogs that are at least six months of age that are not champions. Dogs must be handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog. This class is restricted to exhibitors who have not, at any point in time, been a professional dog handler, AKC approved conformation judge, or employed as an assistant to a professional handler. Additionally, members of the immediate family or household of a current professional handler are ineligible for this class (as defined in Chapter 11, Section 13).

GENERAL INFORMATION NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event.

The show will be open from 8:00 AM TO 6:00 PM. Dogs need to be at the show only at the scheduled time of judging, and may leave thereafter, unless required for further judging. Closing Date: 10:00 PM WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2018, at Show Secretary’s Office, after which time entries cannot be accepted, canceled or substituted except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Dog Show Rules. There shall be no offering for sale or breeding, nor any displaying of unentered dogs on the show grounds as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 11 of the Dog Show Rules. Mail All Entries with Fees to: Marge Calltharp, 44 Mt Parnassus Rd, East Haddam, CT 06423 Checks payable to Berkshire Spur Chinese Shar Pei Club. Entry Fees: $30.00 for the first entry of each dog except puppy, bred by and veterans classes which are $25.00. And all sweeps classes are $20.00. (including $3.00 AKC event service fee & $.50 AKC recording fee). All Junior Showmanship Classes are free.
