COVID RISK ASSESSMENTThe Government has announced the lifting of all limits on social contact and how many people can meet in any setting. The risks from COVID-19 have not disappeared and people need to manage the risks to themselves and to others as the country learns to live with the virus. Importantly, it remains a legal requirement for people to self-isolate if they test positive or are told to do so by NHS Test and Trace. Individuals may choose to limit the close contact they have with those they do not usually live with to reduce the risk of catching or spreading COVID-19, particularly if they are clinically extremely vulnerable. It is important to respect and be considerate to those who may wish to take a more cautious approach. The Government is continuing to monitor data to ensure there is no danger of the NHS facing unsustainable pressure and will review the Coronavirus Act and remaining regulations in the early autumn to consider which requirements need to continue thereafter. The Society will respect the right of individuals to choose whether to wear face masks etc. and will continue to observe any restrictions which remain applicable after 19th July and/or which may be introduced prior to the date of the show.

13. Exhibitors must not pick up dogs by their tails and leads when lifting them nor handle a dog in a manner which causes its feet not to touch the ground when on the move. This is not acceptable. guidance to help guide you through the do’s and don’ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events. • When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave

earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams. • If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all. • The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink. • Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog. • When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle. • Keep the dog in the shade - take your own shade for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available to drink

so your dog stays well hydrated. • Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time. Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please look

after your dog’s welfare. WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED.

17. Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of Kennel Club Regulations in this respect may be referred to the Board for disciplinary action under the Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. The use of pinch collars, electronic shock collars, or prong collars, is not permitted at any show licensed by the Kennel Club. This shall apply at the venue or within the precincts of the show

18. Not for Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club registered.

19. No modifications will be made to the schedule except by permission of the Board of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by advertisement in the Canine press wherever possible.

20. The Show will be held under KC Rules & Show Regulations and it is on this understanding only that entries are accepted. 21. Should a judge be prevented from fulfilling his/her engagement the Committee reserve the right to appoint another judge to fulfill

their duties. Exhibitors are at liberty to withdraw from competition but no fees will be returned. 22. A judges decision is final except in a case of fraud or misrepresentation or where a mistake has been made bona fide by the judge.

Judges are instructed and empowered to withhold a prize in any class if in their opinion the dog(s) entered do not possess sufficient merit.

23. The attention of exhibitors is drawn to the proposed order of judging published in the schedule. This will be adhered to as far as possible, but the Committee reserve the right to alter the order of judging if necessary. Where a 'not before' time is given this will be adhered to.

24. The Committee will not be responsible for the loss, detention of, or any damage to any dog or other property whether arising from accident or any other cause whatsoever or for any act or omission of themselves, their officers or others and it is on this understanding only that entries are received.

25. Should any question arise not provided for in these Regulations, the decision of the Committee shall be final, subject only to appeal to the Kennel Club. The Committee of the Kennel Club shall be the main Court of Appeal or Umpire in all questions or disputes of any kind whatsoever except where such powers are delegated by the Committee of the Kennel Club.

26. All classes will be for Dog or Bitch unless otherwise stated. 27. No animal other than a dog duly entered at the Show will be allowed within the precincts of the Show. All dogs must be brought with

a suitable collar and lead and must be properly supervised at all times. 28. Exhibitors showing dogs are not permitted to hold conversation with the judge during the competition, any exhibitor who persists in

addressing the judge, after being requested not to do so by the ring steward, the judge or Show Manager, may be disqualified and any prizes awarded to his/her dog forfeited. No person other than the exhibitor (officials exhibited) will be allowed in the ring during judging.

29. Any owner, competitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to remove as soon as possible any fouling caused by their dog(s) at any Kennel Club licensed show within the licensed venue and within the environs of that event including car and caravan parks and approaches.

30. The owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog at Kennel Club licensed events must at all times ensure that the dog is kept under proper control whilst at the licensed venue, including its environs, car and caravan parks and approaches. This Regulation applies before (at any time during the set up period at the venue), during the event and afterwards (at any time during the breakdown of the event).

31. A dog may be disqualified by the Board from any award, whether an objection has been lodged or not, if proved amongst other things to have been: a) registered or recorded as having been bred by the scheduled Judge, this shall not apply to a Judge appointed in an emergency; b) exhibited without payment of appropriate entry fees.
