The Transitions for Success Program to Support the SELF (Social Emotional Learning Framework) for Students, Louis Riel School Division

The Transitions for Success program strives to support the dignity of all students, and supports provincial stay-in-school legislation. It strengthens positive connections between the school and the home, and builds capacity in the home school to support a long term in-school response to intervention.

The Transitions for Success program is designed to meet the needs of senior years students who require supportive intervention to maintain placement in their home schools. The program has recently been expanded to middle years students with similar needs, and new programs are being piloted that focus on school refusal, substance abuse, mental health needs, and problematic relationships.
