Quality of holding a shot steady

The shots were held very steady as a tripod was used which made it very easy to keep the camera still.

Continue to use a tripod when filming.

Quality of the framing shots All of the shots were framed to a satisfactory standard, some of the shots did not capture the emotions of the characters, but a lot of them were quite effective in doing so.

Make sure that the characters are positioned in the shot appropriately.

Quality of shooting material appropriate to the task set- i.e. the content of your film pre and post editing was consistent with the exam directives

I believe that we portrayed our ideas for the film well through the dialogue and the way the film was shot through camera techniques

Concentrate on shooting the film in the way that will portray the conventions of the genre well.

Quality of selecting mise-en-scène including colour, figure, lighting, objects and setting;

The quality of selecting mise-en-scene was poor in my opinion. The location was used because it was accessible to us. The group did not focus fully on selecting mise-en-scene, which is easily seen on the finished piece.

Organize a location that is suitable for our genre e.g. for a horror, set it in a remote location.

Quality of editing so that meaning is apparent to the viewer

The editing was good overall, especially the point where the will is being exchanged, however some of the cuts changed too suddenly.

Take more time on editing to make sure that the shots cut from one to the other cleanly in order to make the film flow.

Quality of using sound with images and editing appropriately for the task set;

Sound was not focused on in this piece, which resulted in there being no music in the background of the film.

Take the time to find appropriate music/sounds for the genre of our film.

Quality of positioning and movements of actors

I believe that the quality of the positioning of the characters was satisfactory as in some shots, the characters were well positioned in the shot, but in others, the character’s body/face was cut off

Make sure that the characters are positioned in the shot appropriately.

Quality of group planning, meeting targets, organization

The group itself was put together very well as all the members of the group have the same free periods, this allows us to have as much time as possible to work on our media projects. We met our target for the film as we finished it before the deadline date.

Continue to work as a group quickly and efficiently in order to meet deadlines and complete our tasks to a high standard.

Group dynamics i.e. how did your group work together

My group worked together very well, the filming did not take very much time because everybody in the group did their job to a high standard and I believe that the film was finished to a high standard in a small amount of time.

Continue to work hard and allocate specific jobs to people so that the group works as a unit.
