TARGET AUDIENCE FOR BASIC INHALANT TRAINING COURSE

CHOICE 1 FOR Thursday, March 17, 2016: "DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF INHALANT ALLERGY" This program is open to those physicians and registered nurses who are preparing themselves to add the diagnosis and treatment of inhalant allergy and sensitivity disorders to their practice as well as those physicians and registered nurses seeking a review of the basics of diagnosis and treatment of inhalant allergy. It is essential training for nurses and allied healthcare professionals.

*Discuss allergy symptoms patterns in history taking *Recognize clinical physical signs of allergy *Describe quantitative skin testing technique and the safety screen and endpoint confirmation *Explain Modified Quantitative Testing (MQT) *Implement environmental controls in allergy *Select antigens for skin testing *Perform quantitative skin testing for inhalant aeroallergens *Calculate allergen doses *Recognize and treat a medical emergency *Incorporate allergy in your practice

2016 PAN AMERICAN ALLERGY SOCIETY SEMINAR Saturday and Sunday, March 19 - 20, 2016

Guest speakers and member physicians will share updates in the advances in research of immunological problems in the practice of allergy and sensitivity disorders. Speakers will instruct through lectures, PowerPoint presentations, panel discussions and q & a sessions. "Practice Gaps - Meeting Your Needs" and an hour of "ethics" will enhance the learning experience.

ACCREDITATION

The Pan American Allergy Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Pan American Allergy Society designates this educational activity for a maximum of 25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Application for CME credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending.

Nursing contact hours have been applied for through the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
