SANITARY SEWER NOTES
1. SEE CONSTRUCTION DETAILS SHEET AND PROJECT SPECIFICATION IN ENGINEERSREPORT FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
2. ALL PROPOSED GRAVITY LATERALS SHALL BE 4 (FOUR) INCHES IN DIAMETER, WITHA MINIMUM SLOPE OF 2% (1/4 INCH PER FOOT).
3. CLEANOUTS FOR GRAVITY LATERALS SHALL BE INSTALLED BEHIND THE CURB OREDGE OF PAVEMENT WHERE NO CURB IS PROPOSED.
4. TEST PITS MUST BE PERFORMED BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION, ATTHE CROSSINGS OF THE EXISTING WATER MAIN WITH THE PROPOSED SEWERLATERALS TO INSURE ADEQUATE CLEARANCE.
5. FOR GRAVITY SEWER LATERALS NO FIXTURES BELOW CENTERLINE GRADE OF THESTREET WILL BE PERMITTED.
6. CONNECTION OF THE NEW SANITARY LINE INTO THE EXISTING SANITARY MANHOLESHALL BE CORE-DRILLED.
7. PIPE DAMS SHALL BE INSTALLED A MAXIMUM OF 300 FEET APART, WITH AT LEASTONE PIPE DAM IN BETWEEN STRUCTURES.
8. DUCTILE IRON PIPE SHALL HAVE A HYDROGEN SULFIDE/ CORROSION RESISTANTINTERIOR LINING SUITABLE FOR SANITARY SEWER APPLICATIONS. STANDARDCEMENT LINED DUCTILE IRON PIPE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
9. AN APPROPRIATE TRANSITION COUPLING SHALL BE PROVIDED TO FACILITATECHANGE IN PIPE MATERIALS FROM D.I.P. TO PVC.
10. ALL PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER LATERAL RISERS (CLEANOUTS) IN R.O.W. SHALLBE PROTECTED WITH CAST IRON RISER COVER, SEE CONSTRUCTION DETAIL SHEETS.
11. ALL CONSTRUCTION SHALL COMPLY WITH A CURRENT RULES AND REGULATIONS OFTHE MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP SEWAGE AUTHORITY.
12. ALL LOTS WITH BASEMENTS SHALL HAVE A LATERAL CHECK VALVE INSTALLEDUPSTREAM OF THE SANITARY SEWER CLEANOUT. SEE LATERAL CHECK VALVE DETAILON DETAILS SHEET.
13. SANITARY SEWER SHALL BE INSTALLED 10 FEET HORIZONTALLY AND 18 INCHESVERTICALLY AWAY FROM POTABLE WATER.
14. MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP SEWAGE AUTHORITY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEOWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE OF THE SEWER SYSTEM ON THE APPLICANT'SPROPERTY.
