FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS...

SMC Precision Sheetmetal’s story has spanned over two decades.

In 1984, SMC Pneumatics was waiting up to 8 weeks for delivery

of sheet metal components. It was this demand for a reliable

and cost effective source of sheet metal that gave birth to SMC

Precision Sheetmetal. In its infancy, SMC had 20 or so employees

with only basic sheet metal machinery, purely to meet SMC

Pneumatics requirements, all housed in a 900m2 factory.

Today SMC boasts a 4500m2 facility located in the heart of the

Castle Hill Industrial Estate and employs a staff of 80 skilled

workers with SMC Pneumatics no longer being our sole client.

As a leading sheet metal fabricator in Sydney, SMC now supplies

manufactured components to a large range of industries both

domestically and internationally.

Such industries are hospitality, white goods, water and pool

heating, air conditioning, gaming machines, food processing

equipment, manufacturing components and electrical switch

gear enclosures, just to name a few.

QUALITY

The importance of manufacturing quality is paramount at SMC.

Through our rigorous inspection process, all components are

checked for accuracy at all stages of production in accordance to

ISO AS/NZS 9001:2008.

SMC Precision Sheetmetal is devoted to maintaining our state

of the art facility as having the best and the latest in sheet

metal manufacturing technology in Australia. Machinery is the

tool which enables us to maintain our commitment to customers

by reducing lead times and maintain competitive pricing.

Our commitment to technology has seen us travel to Germany in

order to source what is considered to be the finest sheet metal

machinery ever conceived. This allows us to carry out processes

never thought possible on CNC tooling at high speeds whilst not

relinquishing quality and repeatability.

experience which we draw from when programming customer

specified designs, designing new products or prototyping.

Development at SMC Precision Sheetmetal is enhanced by our

ability to utilise the latest in Computer Aided Design packages

allowing us to achieve the level of detail that you require. 3D

CAD also enables us to analyse your components and suggest

possible improvements which could be incorporated in order to

ensure the cost effectiveness of your product and also

dramatically reduces the time and cost when rapid prototyping

is undertaken.
