Vantage Pro2

Our temperature sensors have an accuracy of <0.5°C, and the accuracy of our outside humidity sensors is ±3%. In real-life situations, though, solar radiation and the reflected heat from rooftops or pavement can resultin greater variances. The radiation shields included with our standard Vantage Pro2 and Pro2 Plus modelsprovide considerable protection, but for even better accuracy—especially on warm, sunny days with little or nowind—choose one of our fan-aspirated stations. The motor-driven fan draws air through the sensor chamberand exhausts it through the top of the shield. With this improved air flow comes improved temperature andhumidity readings. The effects of radiated and reflected heat are minimized, and conditions inside the radiationshield come as close as possible to the ambient air conditions. We recommend to use model 7747 if accuratetemperature measurements are required
