Shah Jalal Jamia Islamia School & College (SJISC) is a leading educational institution in Sylhet. It is a brand

name of Schooling in education arena. It bears the memory of great saint Hazrat Shah Jalal (R) which was

established on 26th

January, 1978 for the purpose of building up the future citizen of our country as a well-

educated ideal man. By the grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) SJISC has opened the academic activities in

English version under national curriculum considering the increasing demand in our society. We need worthy &

true citizens for our country. So, we will give special emphasis on moral education. We have experienced

educationalists & qualified teachers to manage the institution effectually. We are committed to our pursuit for

educational excellence and morality that is ongoing process of SJISC.

Background:-

The present cultural aggression among the young generation is a big threat for the society as well as for the

country. Saving them from its degradation and onslaught is crying need of the nation. For this purpose SJISC

English section is established to produce qualified citizens of international standard with high moral values to

meet up the requirements of the nation by imparting an ideal, scientific and technologically advanced education,

here lessons are prepared with the view to growing the students as perfect human being with upgraded

knowledge and moral values.

The SJISC English section has well experienced, passionate and dedicated teaching staff who are well prepared

to teach with very cordial love, affection and proper guidance. As a result, students can acquire Islamic values,

human qualities along with practicing the cultures for moral development. In this human making leader

producing institute teachers play a predominant and significant role.

Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities:-

SJISC English Section arranges co-curricular and Extra -curricular activities such as recitation, Islamic and

patriotic songs practice, quiz, drawing competition, study tour and visiting science fair for flourishing the

dormant qualities and intelligence of the students .

Annual Cultural Competition

Tripartite Meetings:-

To discuss and evaluate the activities of the institution, regular meeting of management, guardians and teachers

are arranged. Constructive suggestions of the guardians help the authority to take necessary steps for developing

the quality of the school. In fact, the guardians are the primary teachers and counselor of their children. The

guardians’ co-operation and participation are essential for successful implementation of all learning programs.

They should encourage the students to converse with them in English at home.

The institution remains close on Friday. In addition, there are government holydays and vacations as per

Academic calendar prepared by the school authority.

School Rules & Regulations

All the Students will abide by the following rules and regulations:

(a) Students will follow code of conduct laid down by the school authority to maintain discipline in the

campus.

(b) It is mandatory to wear prescribed school dress.

(c) Students will be required to remain present in the school campus at least 15 minutes before the class starts.

(d) 100% attendance is expected in the class. In case of absence, due to sickness of the students, an application

duly signed by the guardians, has to be submitted to the principal through coordinator as soon as the student

attends the school. In case of absence due to medical reasons certificate from a doctor must be attached to

the application. Prolonged absence without prior information may result in cancellation of the admission of

the student.

(e) Students are not allowed to leave the class earlier than the normal time unless there is an emergency. In

such cases, guardians/parents will have to submit an application and take their wards themselves.

(f) Students will clear all their dues by 10th

of each month to the EXIM Bank of Dhupadhigirpar Branch.

Those who fail to clear their dues for two consecutive months he will be liable to pay

Tk. 100 as a delay fine.

(g) Once admission formalities are completed, request for TC or Cancellation of admission will not be

entertained (except Govt. employees on official transfer). If under special consideration TC is issued, the

applicant will pay all dues for the entire session.
