Happy Out of Work
There’s one section in Pre World Rafting Championship who fells happy when their not working. Irawan has been in the Marine nine years. He has his training in 2005. Irawan is one of the 11 para medic on duty. In addition to the paramedic there are two doctors on standby. Irawan said that on the second day of competition two athlete was handled for fatique and stomach pain. On the first none. Compared to this experience in Marine war exercise in East Jawa, this duty is a walk in the park. He said that his quite happy being out of work. It means that everyone is healthy and safe. Irawan assured us that in field work no female health worker is deployed. Well wouldn’t it be more merry being jobless with nurse as companion?

Jakarta Or West Jawa Still Undecided
DKI Jakarta and Jawa Barat still neck in neck for the overall position of Pre World
Rafting Championship 2014 in Citarik river, Sukabumi District, West Jawa Province,
Indonesia. After struggling through rapids in 3 river running discipline, their over all
point differentiate by 24 points.
The elite team from Indonesia has a long history rivalry. On all the three rafting
discipline their closely tied. On the second day the difference is only 5second with
DKI ahead. Total Slalom time for DKI was 5 minute 3second, while West Jawa was 5
minute 08 second.
In third place was Central Jawa with total time of 5minute 16second.

Female Slalom Race.
In the female slalom race the girls from North Sulawesi succeeded to a
better result. They finished second to DKI Jakarta. North Sulawesi took
11minutes 18second.
This result came as a surprise as North Sulawesi girls finished last on
yesterday Head to Head Race. Most of North Sulawesi team are
newbie in the national circuit, only two are veteran on national
championship.
DKI girls are undefeated on all three discipline. They gain top points
for all. Overall team is perfect 600 point.

Mount Gede-Pangrango National Park. Situated north of Citarik River. The Park information centre and gate is 3 hour drive in light traffic. Mount Gede is an active volcano requires 4 to 6 hours hike to the peak. Mount Pangrango tropical montane rain forest peak an additional 3 hours. Lots of resort and restaurant situated in the Puncak area at the foot of the mountains, as it is Jakarta high altitude playground

Mijnheer Pieter Bekkers Lean thin bodied of average height “bule” keeps walking back and forth along the river bank during races in Citarik. The “bule”, Indonesia slang for foreigner of Europe descent, always carries a writing book cover folded empty page ready to write. He is Pieter Bekkers IRFdelegate in charge of assessing the competition organization. Pieter came to Indonesia with his wife. They have a son 19 years of age and a daughter. Pieter started whitewater sport in kayak back in 1995. After he graduated to rafting. Pieter afterall comes from one of football superpower, the Oranje Nederland had been two times World Cup finalist. But he confesses that while he took sports during his education he is a water man. He also loves to sail. Pieter Bekkers is very happy with the organizing of the competition so far. For him all personel are working fine. He explained that one of IRF request to provide electronic timing device that could bot be provided by the organizer can be solved. “But expensive, about 15000 Euro,” he said. During the event most of the committee uses Indonesia language as most of the workers are local. Pieter not worried about language barriers during the IRF WRC 2015, when many nationality will gather. He said that in Brazil during this year WRC only need one translator to English on meeting. The rest will be fine.Dank je well Mijnheer.
